I doubt it, clean fresh imports FTW. Mine has been in the UK since 2011.
The S2000 was a great car, pretty sure I'll have one again. There was no reason to sell it other than fancying a change. Here's the last picture I took of it looking standardish awaiting it's new owner;
Quality abused...
So about a month ago I found myself looking at RX-7's. I remembered that Gaz on here had a project thread for his old one, which naturally led me to his current project. Fast forward to last week, I've sold the S2000 and I am driving this home;
I only have a handful of iPhone pictures so...
After my PM's regarding the RX-7 I am now looking at these, partly your fault! :P
Hope you get your issues sorted mate, can't wait for more photo's and progress on it.
Progress has been slow on the car of late, mainly because I've been spending more and more time tinkering with the bike instead. Including doing my first track day, here's a video if anyone is interested!
For the car, I've got a show 'n' go front number plate mount ready to fit to the front...
Got a few new pictures. I can never seem to get them to turn out as good as I plan them in my head haha!
Next on the cards is an engine bay detail - need to do a bit of reading though as I've no idea where to start.
Attempted to get a few more photos tonight but a combination of dull wearer and my tragic photography skills means they're all shite. Photobucket doesn't half sap the quality which doesn't help.
Might have a little video to upload.
Decided to roll my front arches today as I'd only done the rears until now. Got sidetracked and ended up painted my calipers while I was in there so only managed one side today.
That's the idea bud, which is why I replaced the standard sidelights with them.
That's why it was £400! Cruise control on the way to work and back at 60mph and it returns 35mpg, can't complain.
Not a bad result on the Passat eh?
Not sold on the yellow film on the fogs but the fogs themself I like, I've wired them to replace the sidelights for now.
Here's a photo I grabbed when I was removing the bumper again at the weekend
Also, I've since put the wheels back into the bodyshop...
Got my front bumper back, resprayed and OEM lip fitted. Took a punt on some fog lights I seen for sale too, fit into the fake grill recess perfectly so look relatively OEM, then I got excited with yellow film. I also added some JDM red "H" badges front and rear and a slanted number plate...
Noted! :)
I've had it around 8 months and can count on one hand how many times the roof has been down haha. The fact it's a convertible is my only gripe with it.
Thanks for the nice comments chaps, appreciate it. I wish I liked the colour as much as you lot seem to, still not sold. They look like chocolate. I'll get some more photo's when the weather clears up, I've done a few more little bits and bobs too.
You're spot on mate, been meaning to get...
In the end I bottled the idea of a bright colour and went for matte bronze. Left the painter with pictures of what I was after, but to be honest I don't think I really like the colour. Too dark and more brown than bronze - not what I had in my head really. I'll give it a few weeks to see if I...
