After struggling with getting my mpg over 35, I've seen a dramatic improvement after recent work I've done to the car. Fitted a new post-cat lambda, brand new HT leads (nothing wrong with the old ones anyway!) and a new injector. Over 380.7 miles from Wolverhampton > SE London > Guildford >...
Just swapped over an injector on my 182 which has sorted the misfire at low rpm problem I've been having recently (many thanks to Leew88!).
The old injector came out with a pretty busted up seal ring (see pic below) - could this have been the cause of the misfire and not an actual fault with...
Check your injectors. Unplug the electrical connector one by one and the one that doesn't make a difference will be your culprit! (Obviously plug it back in before trying the next one)
Just awaiting an injector for mine.
I'm removing the Viper induction that came with my car and putting a stock airbox back on. Everything seems self explanatory except for these two parts - I have no idea what they're for!
Any ideas?
Cheers guys!
Not sure how long we were beside each other bit I only noticed you as you pulled off as the stop start traffic eased up (I was in my own world haha).
First time I've seen one in person - beautiful colour! Had a Trax sticker on the rear window.
If you have people in the car and you go to perform an overtake on the motorway and your car starts squealing like it can't handle it then it's a little embarrassing. It's bloody loud too!
Same prob on a 182 fella. Must just be the way Renault design their sockets. Tis a shame as the Belkin one fits nice and snug and is barely noticeable.
Please post up any solution you find :)
I've heard mixed reviews about that place. They looked after my old 1.2 well though *shrugs*
I wish I could say that about mine, doesn't quite feel amazingly quick at the moment but I think I've been spoilt by driving turbo'd cars in between my Clio ownership this year :/
Im in a black gold...
Sorry fella, don't know anything. Have you had the car long? Try searching the reg on here or taking it to a specialist to get it checked out :)
Seen you quite a few times now, you live like 2 streets away from me!
Ok,
Pulled out the courtesy light today and I had a look. Behind the holes I was talking about is just a black felt pad which is stuck down. There's no fan or sensor there :S
Ive attached a couple of pics to show.
After getting my mates 182 back on the road I decided to give my 182 some attention. I was cleaning the car out today and noticed that the holes (in the grid shape) next to the courtesy light looked like they had something in there - almost like dry superglue. It's dark out now but I'll get a...
Think we've fixed the problem!
Got the mechanic to check the wiring and end plugs. It was the white connecter that goes to the engine fuse/relay box. Had a bit of corrosion on there apparently so he sorted it out and the car has been fine since.
Ironically it was one of the suggested solutions...
