Hi there, wondering if someone out there could help clear up a confusing situation for me.
I have a Clio 3 2011 Sports Tourer 1.5 dCi, It looks like a stone or something has pierced my AC condenser and the AC is no longer working.
I need to replace the condenser but I am being told by various...
Does it no need regassing? it should be done every two years. I've had mine don on my Clio when I got it before I went touring around France and I've just had my C-Max done this weekend. it went from being just blowing outside temp to ice cold.... mmmmm air con....
Kwik Fit did it in for £49...
I have climate control!
It was over a year ago now, but if you put your head in the drivers foot-well and look at the centre console you will see a panel, remove this and you should see the back of them motors used for the climate. there is then a few screws holding them in place. remove them...
Just done Ant's £2 Halfords fix, although I got mine for pennies from my local auto shop. Its actually a Ford bush, but it works a treat.
Took all of 10mins to fit, Nice one Ant.
No, it was really easy. just removed the centre console (bit with gear stick and cup holders). The gear stick surround just pulls up, pull the back of away from the dash, it is held in with poppers. the front is held in with Velcro. once that's out the way the motors are just in the foot-well...
Got it sorted, joshydee was right, there is a baffle inside the heater matrix that directs the air past the heater element and controls the cabin temp.
Bolted to the right hand side of the heater matrix, in the drivers foot well there is two stepper motors, one controls the direction of the air...
Well after all the worry about how much it will cost to fix, I got in the car today and its fine...
I can put it up to full heat and then back down to minimum (with the AC turned off) and you can feel the temp change...
Over the weekend I did pull out all the fuses and check them as well as...
the temp is adjusted by the water flow to the matrix, not the airflow past it. the air flow is what points the air to the window/feet/face, this is working fine.
lol, yes, but I'm off to France in it in the summer and then I'll be wishing it was...
the sensor is definitely there, you can hear...
I've got a mk2 ph2 with climate and have just noticed that no matter what I set the temp to it only throws out hot air.
I've had a search about but cant find a solution.
everything else on the climate control works fine, I can adjust the fan speed and location (window, feet, face etc) and...
probably not, but most of the campsites we'll be staying at have power huck-up so wont really be using it much, but we're doing A LOT of driving about, so its a nice thing to have just in case. The main reason i want the socket in the back is so I can put the mini fridge in there so there will...
A mate pointed that out to me too, but, the light is earthed by a door pin, when to boot/door opens the pin earths and completes the circuit, turning the light on. if I earth the socket directly and just steel the live from the light this shouldn't be a problem. my concern with this is if the...
Ok, I'm off comping in the summer and have various electrical goods that I'll be taking with me, e.g. digital camera, laptop, portable fridge, etc. I have a power inverter (cigi to 3pin adaptor) for my stuff and the fridge is 12v anyway, but my 52 plate Clio only has one cigarette lighter, up...
Did anyone ever discover if the Scenic glasses case fits the Clio? I used to have one of these in my Beetle and they are great, really handy.
I called Renault and its only £11 for a case so might just order one and give it a go, that is unless someone has already tried and knows the answer...
