Yep, mycarcheck states the reg number belongs to a Renaultsport 172 Cup. I know that Cups only came in Mondial Blue and Iceberg silver, must be a respray.

My 1st thought was its a wrongly advertised 182 but it is actually a 172 Cup, random.
Am after some coilies for 172 Cup, had Eibach sportlines before and the ride was perfect, just couldnt get a decent enough drop so am after some coilies but nothing to harsh, any recomendations?
Have found what looks to be a vertical detachable type towbar for a standard Clio...

I think its my best shot.
Does anyone have contact details for the guy with Atom then? Towbar companys are telling me that 'Clio Sports' (thats right 'Clio Sports') can't tow due to the style of the exhaust, i can see why a 182 would have trouble, but a 172?
Have already spoken to insurance company, all they cared about was how heavy the car is and what weight i want to tow so they could calculate the towing weight allowed. All im interested in is fitment, can anyone see a reason why a towbar for a standard clio of the same age wont fit under a 172...
I dont care if it was certified as it will be towing a modern trials bike which weighs less than a large passenger.
Can you find out what make the tow bar is?
Well i'm sure it has to be allowed because of this....

Surely they wouldnt use a picture of a Cup with a tow bar if it wasnt allowed? Its for a trials bike (79kg) so no worse than having a passenger on board.
I might buy another 172 Cup as the last one was a blast, only problem being i need to be able to tow my trials bike trailer, anyone ever fitted a tow bar to a cup?
Its not a rat look thing, its for track use, it enables marshalls to quickly locate and attach to your tow eye to get you off the track as quickly as possible so as to not waste other peoples track time.
