Snap, although they were only fixing Recaro seats in mine when the stealers did it so they didn't actually have to drive it anywhere to 'test' those. I did laugh though when they'd left their classical CD in there and couldn't find out who'd taken it out even from looking at their comprehensive...
You can't really compare one Clio against another owners. I've found this with both sports I've owned, and from reading comments on the 200 this is the same. I did find with my R27, however, that the more miles it got on it the more economic it became, but that is also down to my driving style...
I don't understand why you didn't complain at the time?
You've had it fixed by your regular garage now, I assume - but to get anywhere in terms of consumer rights you have to have given those who carried out the original work a chance to correct it. If you haven't had it fixed, take it back...
Know anyone local to you who is handy with a machine polisher? They might be able to cut that back a bit.
Although if it's down to the primer it'll need a touch up, but it's worth a go before investigating the repair bill.
Why can't younguns just aspire to having a more powerful car when they've got a few years of driving under their belts? I had my 1.2 for 4 years (17 to 21), then moved up to a 197 - and I'm pleased I did because I appreciated it much more when I got it and I was earning substantially more to be...
LOL - you setting up a date there, Geddes? Ha.
I often see a LY on the A1 early mornings about 5.45am if I've dropped the boy off at the airport. No idea whether it's you but welcome along anyway.
Oh dear. Beaten. LOL. Damn street racers.
I think Ben's post about it depends how big your balls are is completely true, and it's 100% down to your driving capability. As Gal said earlier on, you can have fun in your car without breaking speed limits or risking your life; granted that isn't...
Fuel is down to how you drive it, Will. Sensible driving in my old R27 saw me getting 33 mpg - same as my 182 now. Motorway 36mpg.
They're very thirsty for their first 15k miles I'd say, after that mine got better and better. There are some low milers still out there but I'd be tempted by one...
The 197 is the same as 172/182: 36k or 5 years for aux, 72k or 5 years for cam - or at 5 years both together. However, it does specify the service intervals in the service book which should come with any car you look over/buy.
Service intervals are 12k. Oil change is recommeded every 6k...
Cleans up well. Have to admit it's more pleasing to the eye lowered, but when changing it could ruin how the car feels it's probably not worth the bother.
Good job. :)
Ah, think I'll leave it. It would require using the laptop and I can't be arsed to do a restore, it takes yonks. Possible weekend task if I get bored. :) Has it made any difference?
Danke.
I think it's trying too hard. It seems to be just one big mish-mash of bits thrown together and it happens to have turned out how it has.
The wheel option does nothing for me at all, in fact it's pretty damn terrible - imagine how bad they'll look when the paint starts to bubble after 12...
My 3GS runs sweet, then all of a sudden it'll start going reaaaally slow. Text message problem as you describe, emails crash, Safari crashes. I usually just turn it off and back on and it sorts it. Only had to restore once, so far.
Bit of a pain, and hoping any updates will 'fix' these issues.
Vista is also a nightmare with Apple. Before I upgraded to 7, Vista was equally as problematic for me.
If you have a XP machine, or access to anyone that does when you need to update the OS use that. I still back up on my Win7 machine.
Well go in with the charging as the 'problem' they'll...
I was under the impression that the warranty starts again as you've been given effectively a 'new' unit from Apple if they replace it. I wouldn't expect to buy a fridge, it f**ks up during warranty and they replace it but say my warranty is only valid till the end of the warranty on the first...
