    Might be worth chucking a jump lead from the battery negative to a gearbox/starter motor bolt, if you've not already tried it. Might be a poor earth causing your starting issues, seems strange it would just die. Might even be a poor power connection. The time it would take to check it's worth...

    Standard boost pressure is 9 psi so It's not really worth faffing about with adjusters as it's just something else to go wrong, t2s will run 16 happily, best advice I could give would be to remove any boost controllers and get it set up to run about 14psi. With an ecu adjustable boost is fine...

    Hi there Looking at it, it seems to be a gt turbo engine conversion is this correct? 1.4? The answers you want depend on the conversion Tbh, you're running a carb so I'd stay away from adjustable boost as you run into all sorts of fuelling issues.

    i'll keep an eye out but i always seem to miss them, not sure how much longer i'll have the cup so would like to do a few more tracks. it's a bit of a beast lol, 350bhp/ton give or take, very impressive seeing it's still running the c1j 8v 1.4 and carb set up

    The extension replicates the gearbox input shaft, same way as an alignment tool. The tape takes up any slack in the clutch plate hole so it centralizes the extension so the extensions then passes into the flywheel, same as the input shaft has to, if the holes aren't aligned your gearbox won't go...

    as danny said, you'll also need an aligning tool to centre the clutch plate, a 1/2 inch extension bar with some tape round it to take up the slack should be sufficent if you've not got one.

    That's not correct, they have different rods and pistons, they're the same lenght but f4Rt rods are thicker. I can't find the picture of them side by side but there is a noticeable difference.
