Hey Andrew, I'm the Tom that sold you Valerie! As people have posted above my project thread was that of an enthusiastic but slow one due to funds.
Was very sad to see her go but im glad that you have joined and will give her the care that she deserves!
And so project Valerie comes to an end.. sold her this morning. It's been a memorable 10,000 miles. Hope to see her tot up many more with the new owner!
There are many mods that have already been said such as lowering, set of wheels and a splash of colour here and there to get you started; But the clue is in the question on how you personalize it. only you can do unique things to it that no-one else has to make it yours.
just make sure you...
Managed to say a few words passing in traffic but didnt catch who you were besides you being on here!
I was in the Williams, following my mate in the S13. Your car looked very tidy.
Thanks guys :)
Well today she went in for her retest and im very happy to say, she passed! Straight after coming back from the MOT station i thought a long overdue wash and another ***** shoot would be a good way to celebrate. Did a massive interior clean the day after strippage so nothing...
at the MOT..
Went about fixing the faults today and while it was in the garage with tools handy, decided to remove the foglights as one was broken; and also remove the grill bar that has never sat right because of a previous bump it has had in its time.
Woo, wonky grill..
bits...
I see. Definitely still go for coileys, its just the bolt spacing that is different which is more than likely why the ones you have bought do not fit.
Rip out the arch linings or you can leave them in, it will scrape on full lock though as is to be expected.
LED washer lights
bodykits on hatchbacks or family saloons
halfords alloys
sport seat covers
reverse rake lowering.
flames and irrelevant stickers
many more.
basically anything that can be bought from halfords; and cars that look like they have just crashed through the 'sikmodz' section of it.
I didnt think it was possible to get 90mm lowering springs.. unless theyve been cut? link to where you bought them?
you'll be fine slamming it to the floor as long as you stick to 15" rims and preferably low profile tyres as the maximum size you fill the arches with.
Get coileys.
Thank you mate :) ..and roof you say? hmm!
Argh tell me about it :(
In regards to MOT, she only failed on a deteriorated brake line and steering rack gaiter.. not the rust which i was worried about! ..sorting that out tomorrow evening then off for a retest. pretty happy considering i was...
As has been said, you need coilovers to lower it to the ground; which is basically the law with 1.2's to go down the low and slow route! Theres a good selection for the mk2 regarding price and quality.
Personally, I will recommend FK's.
Intended to book my MOT on the friday but couldnt as the starter motor totally gave up, bad times. Took us a while to find out the fault...
Fitting new one tomorrow and then taking it for her MOT, been told by a few MOT'ers that the rust may be a problem, so wish me luck.
People definitely try it on for insurance claims.
Down my local road some bell end decided to slam on his brakes in his land rover over and over trying to catch me out.
