I went through the same questions a month or so ago.
Ive ended up with a K-tec stealth, twin silencer jobby along with a 182 manifold and decat. The noise levels are perfect, its quite quiet when at low revs, so you can sneak away in the morning without waking people. But when you boot it it...
Just fitted the map sensor but didnt sort it. But the new one feels less loose.Cheers Matt for popping over.
Narrowed the problem down to cylinder 3. Got new ht leads coil pack and plugs already fitted so going to try injectors. Might know someone with one to try tomorrow.
no black smoke mate.
You mean this black sensor on the upper inlet? Tried disconnecting this and the car starts and then stalls straight away.
Jus been told the AA disconnected all injectors togethers... thats why ive got the fault code.
Ok so tried the following...

and had a t as an error. I cleared this and left the car running for a minute and the code hasnt re appeared.
video is a bit crap as its raining :( lol.
cheers for the reply.
No its more like a fast clicking mate which gets faster as you rev.
oh and I havent got any tools here, and no car to go pick them up! lol... stranded.
Had new plugs, leads & coil pack fitted. But the car now has a big misfire. If theres anyone in my area that could give me a hand as i need the car for work on monday, it would be greatly appreciated! AA man reckons its injector related.
Im in Biggleswade & happy to give beer tokens.
Cheers
Mine does the same, mainly happens when cold. It also searches for revs when i'm around 1/4 throttle and the engines cold.
I'm guessing throttle position sensor/ idle control valve?
I'm using it as an excuse to get it remapped.

Was a good meet today. Was a nice selction of clios on show!
Almost all new faces to me, shame I have a crap memory so cant remember forum tags with faces lol.
Welcome mate,
another local fellow cupper. Hope to see you at a meet soon.
The engine shouldn't move much at all. Its probably the lower engine mount, do you get any knocking when the engine is put under load?
