I have a Redtop in my Westfield, 201bhp on R1 carbs, with a few more tweaks to the head and block. Always on a track somewhere but not recently for obvious reasons.
All very true and my mum drove until 88 before the cost was unaffordable, she could have carried on for no more than another year before a reactions would be too slow. It’s something that needs to discussed in the family.
Probably stretching the range of a scooter of course, but it’s about time your dad visited his mum now more often. Soon nan won’t be able to keep her own anyway due to cost or age, it’s inevitable. All families have this dilemma including me and now you.
Unfortunately premiums do rocket for the 80+. Once my mum reached 90 the premium was up to £800 so she ditched the car( not literally) and bought a mobility scooter to do her shopping and visit her mates. She loves it in the summer but not so much in the winter when I do her shopping. If you...
You can also re-plate the trailer weight lower than the manufactures recommendation. Just find out the racecar weight and allow for wheels and full Jerry cans that will be carried on the trailer. Buy a new chassis plate and have it engraved/stamped with the new max capacity, it’s completely...
Ha ha I used work for BT, your right a load of c***s.
As for the OP- cancel the existing package and phone them to start another the day the previous package is turned off. You’ll probably get a phone call from them a couple of days after your cancellation anyway, persuading you to stay...
Spray some WD40 on one pulley at a time whilst the engine is running, see if the noise disappears. Then try spraying on the aux belt. Should help diagnose.
Not going to be sub £25k I reckon, A fully specced up normal I30 can be over £21k. They are already in Golf and A3 territory pricewise. Nevertheless it will make a change from the usual low power petrol Hyundais that are popular with the pensioner brigade who buy them cause, "it will see...
If it is a Fakra plug you can buy replacements https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2047675.m570.l1311.R7.TR12.TRC2.A0.H2.XFakra.TRS0&_nkw=fakra+connector&_sacat=0
+ earth went in the early '60's they are all - earth these days.
For LED indicator bulbs any Generic flasher will do but pay attention to the pin layout labelling, there are a few different versions and some can be swapped around by your good self, fiddly but it can be done. You can buy...
I wouldn't get too hung up on the lower bhp of some off these older V8's, it's the torque that counts and V8's do have a lot more than the 4potters. For instance my friends Westfield P5B V8 is 160bhp and my Westfield 4pot is 225bhp, he beats me away from the lights and I can't keep up...
Howz about an MGZT v8 like this http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201706176541777?make=MG&model=ZT-T&postcode=ss74hu&radius=1500&onesearchad=Used&onesearchad=Nearly%20New&onesearchad=New&sort=sponsored&advertising-location=at_cars&minimum-badge-engine-size=2.4&page=1but there are...
Used equipment is good value, you could afford some more upmarket brands. Make sure you listen to them before you buy though. The Cambridge brand is a good starting point and still sound good.
My Sugden A64 amp is still going strong and has been re-furbed by Sugden twice since I bought it...
No one know? I did manage to remove the outside parts of the handle as in the YouTube clip but I left the baseplate as it is. New door is all changed over and working ok.
-----on a 2011 Mk3 facelift. I'm changing over a damaged door, the glass/regulator/seals all easy to swap over but not the handle itself. I had a look at this but still not able to remove the outer handles. Anyone know how to remove the baseplate from inside the door, I can't see any...
Had a Clio 172 Cup for 3 years and mostly used it for trackdays. Loved everything about it except it's speed, could have done with more power, would have another one day if there was room on the drive. Currently have a Westfield for the track and summer motoring and Audi A3 Quattro as the...
I also would not be choosing a car purely for connectivity of electronic gismos. I wanna drive it. There is always aftermarket stuff that you can set up.
Using a 2nd. hand sensor is not a good idea, they do have a finite life and are recommended to be changed 80k. to 100k miles. New Bosch sensors are available from Euro Car Parts for a lot less than a Main Dealer. Also I don't think your problem is to do with the Lambda sensor, it sounds like...
There should have been a sensor plugged into the top of the CC, pull it out of the CC, leave the 2 wires connected to the sensor and tie wrap it behind the headlight (otherwise the Emmisions light will come on, MOT will be looking at warning lights this year) and discard the CC. Plug the pipe...
Being a Cat D doesn't mean it's been in an accident , maybe just stolen/recovered. £1200 seems a fair price and you should be looking at it's condition and whether the paperwork is correct. There's a lot used and abused cars that are not categorised out there that won't be as good. My Cup...
