So im changing the sachs dampers over to 182 cup shocks and found out the spring has broken, do i need to put the same springs on it or will 182 cup springs fit it?

nasty mate glad both ok though. As for car, yeah might be right off but claiming personal injury will get you around 10k, maybe even double due to the circumstances that you have incurred stress etc
