Wonder if anyone can shed some light on a strange little misfire I’ve got on my 182. When started from stone cold at around 1500rpm ish (with the lightest sniff on the throttle) I get a misfire when clears after maybe 30 seconds or so once the engine has a little heat in it. The misfire doesn’t...
Have had utterly crap radio reception for years so I finally got round to changing the aerial base (as I thought that was the problem). As it turns out fitting a brand new one hasn’t fixed the problem at all - it’s made zero difference.
All connections are right in the back of the head unit (a...
Just want to clarify the steps when removing the sump (the method without taking the subframe off)
Drain oil
Bump and slam panel off
Offside engine unbolted from chassis and dog bone off
Jack engine up as high as possible and place block of wood under the engine mount
Undo sump bolts and...
Got a bit of a leak on the sump gasket ( ive been putting up with it for years but its got a little bit worse recently) so I intend to change it.
Whats the easiest way to get the sump removed? Ive read its recommended to remove the sub frame but I dont really fancy doing that if possible. I...
The alarm on my 182 seems to have a mind of its own at the moment by going off randomly at all hours. I remember reading somewhere that you could reduce the sensitivity of the interior sensors by swapping a red and black wire around - can any one shed any light on this? I also read somewhere...
Is it just a pull off job? the one on mine is very tired and i'd like to replace it with a new one. Obviously i'll need to bleed the braking system fully afterwards.
Does anyone find that theirs gets a little oil/grimy around where the gearbox seal/boot is clipped to the bearing on the N/S shaft? It doesnt drip oil but it does seem to have a bit of greasy oil residue on it. ive replaced the boot with a new one and a new clip on the bearing done with a...
Replaced a ball joint on my 182 yesterday after noticing a split boot in the month old one [emoji24]
Anyway I noticed the replaced ball joint this morning that the there are witness marks on the abs ring where the ball joint has been rubbing on it, it’s taken a touch off the ring so it no...
Just a bit of advice wanted, my 182 has developed a permanent squeak from what I think is the aux belt area. It’s had the odd squeak on startup that belt area for a bit however this was generally only on very damp days. Anyway came to it today I seem to be getting a permanent and constant...
Someone has put a jubilee clip round the boot that sits on the bearing of my passenger side drive shaft and it leaks a bit of oil. I’ve tried numerous times to replace the clip as but as soon as I drop the car back to the ground it pulls off the bearing and obviously oil leaks out.
I know many...
the CVs on mine pretty knackered so I was thinking of replacing the near side shaft. I see that J&R driveshafts now do them, what are peoples views on those?
Also are there differences in near side shafts - are the 182 cup/full fat shafts different to say a normal 182/172?
thanks
Went to check up brake fluid and I've found my reservoir cap is melted to the tank itself in the corner nearest the manifold? The bottom part of the lid is cured under. Not sure how im going to remove it now short of cutting it off!
Any one else had this issue or know why it occurs?
Whats the price for one of these? is it at go to renault only for the part I assume?
Mines got stuck at about half on the display even though its full, dont want it failing totally and putting dash lights on (if thats what it will do)
thanks
