So.. I sold this car way back to a friend, and got the bora, the Clio couldn't have went to a better home, will update with pictures soon of the progress. So far the car has had:
Fog light replaced
Splitter replaced
2 Rear quarters Repainted
Stainless Steel exhaust
powerflex exhaust mounts and...
no camber needed y0! wheels sit in the arches with just the lip exposed. As for front plate..
I would run like this is police weren't so pernickety about it, but will be putting magnets behind the bumper and sticking a metal plate with a foam cover onto the back of the plate so it can stick...
It will not be colour coded until I get bored of it, as for the plate, I will be getting magnets behind the bumper and attaching a metal plate to the registration plate so it can sit where it's supposed to be located.
Door Strips.. leave holes when removed, so they wont be took off, and i like the "poverty Spec" look the car has, you always see boras fully colour coded, more than you do with black moldings, theres more details to the car than just wheels, US spec front bumper strip with side markers, all...
It's probably not going to be the best idea for the roads around my area either, but I will run it and see how things go, I have a speedbump into my estate I will need to tackle daily.
Well I guess I won't have as much clearance as I thought, still that's the price to pay for wanting a car to be so low, they aren't teledials on the bora above, they are 18" Autostrada Monzas, so what has your mate done to get his bora sitting like that?
the bora in the picture has a 4motion front splitter and .:R side skirts which makes it look alot lower than it is, should have around 3cm subframe clearance.
Chassis notch and 25mm engine raisers are planned for the bora, to help with ground clearance, the ET of the 3SDMs are 35 so not too low, once, the car has been lowered again, i will see if spacers are needed.
As I said, the wheels suit it a lot more when the car is sitting better on them, the above picture is the first bora in the UK to have these wheels on, the large tyres and lack of stance doesn't do anything for the car, so it that's the type of boras I'm up against on 3sdms then with the right...
