I was back over at Awesome last Friday for a couple of bits:
Interim service
Powerflex dogbone insert
Racingline OEM+ ECU & TCU remap
I went for the red insert which is the softest available, it's actually made for the GTD I believe. There's quite a bit of vibration at idle and a lot more again...
Thanks Dan! I can't remember the exact price they charged. I had the exhaust and tyres swapped along with a service done at the same time.
The springs are Eibach Pro's. Tweeks are still by far the cheapest place for them (bizarre I know..)
The Skoda looked just as good in the flesh, someones...
It rides just as well now as before on the standard springs, I really can't feel any differences in terms of smoothness.
The H&R's and Racingline ones sit a little lower going off what I've read online. The Eibach's are just a subtle drop and still clear all the speed bumps in my area. Which...
No DCC unfortunately. Nope, it's a different unit. Essentially a Clubsport S one, but with the tips spaced slightly further apart to suit the facelift diffuser. It's a little louder than the TCR though as mine doesn't have the OPF.
Not the best, but here's a before/after:
I purchased another 7.5 GTI back in March, this time in Tungsten Silver.
Had the car checked over by Awesome and had them do a full service including the DSG gearbox. PS5's fitted to the front also (PS4's on the back with plenty of tread still).
I was back at Awesome on Friday to have some...
I ordered a pair of PS5's earlier on Camskill. £15 a tyre cheaper than PS4's in my size.
Yet to see a review anywhere on them, but like you say I can't see them being a poorer tyre.
My Costco tyre inflator/jump starter finally packed in today after many years of use. Seemed a good excuse to order the M12 compact inflator I've had my eye on😂
I’ve got the M12 fuel 3/8 impact wrench and ratchet for working on the car. Haven’t let me down yet, plenty of power in them.
All my 18v stuff for work is Makita though.
Ahhh fair enough. It's always handy to know somebody like that. Looks like he's done a cracking job!
I can only imagine. I've spent a small fortune on mine getting it up to scratch 🤦♂️ Fully recommend a bigger intercooler and a visit back to Scoff's. So impressed with the mapping now, I...
