I am having some problems with my sandwichplate. The car starts up fine, I can warm it up ok. But the next time I start it (The oil beeing in the cooler and in the pipes) the gasket on the oilfilter suddenly blows out, and I get oil everywhere. I have tried mounting it 4 times now with the same...

I tried to change the ICV today, still the same problem. I have already changed to new distributor cap, rotor arm, spark plugs, spark plug leads, and the temp sensor...
The only thing left is the ECU and the sensor-thing underneath the throttle?
I have the following problem on my 16v:
I fires fine when cold.
After a few seconds it starts to idle rough, i have to pull the trottle cable and rev it up, and I barely keep it running, sounds like it runns on 2-3 sylinders.
After 1-2minutes of reving it it runs fine.
I have already...
I had to clean my fuelpump when it started to have problems in high revs.
Test your fuelpreasure an/or clean your pump. The pump has a sort of filter in front of it inside the fueltank.
Having been through 3 headgaskets this summer, I have to say the systems been pretty flushed ;).
I am running a F7P whith a Megane F7R 2.0 bottom end. Willy ECU whith Prima Chip. Not realy sure what have been my problem. But Now I have done it all: Oilcooler, low temp thermostat for the water...
I had the same problem. I just took out the "spring" underneath the gearstick and it is fine. Othervise I think you must open your box... We changed the springs that keep the gear in place, and is fine now. Still run w/o the gearstick-spring.
My main conserns about fitting a conversion is what do I do when I warp my disks? I run my car hard, and brakes do get broken from time to time. With my standard size disks it is easy to get a replacement.
From what car does the 285mm disks come from? I see it is solid?
It is in the sandwich (between the engine and the oilfilter) or whatever you britts call it. As an old Porsche-dude I know what its like to run a car with a non bad theromstat! ;)
I already have uprated disks, happy with them. I want to keep the size of the disks so I can keep running my 15" Dunlop Formula R tires. So no big brake kit for me...
Enybody fitted calipers from eny other car?
It,s a 14 Row, 420mm wide I think. If I where about to buy one again I would try to get one that the hoses comes out of the sides to have more room towards the bumber.
No problems fitting, besides not tightening the oilfilter hard enoug the first try. Results: 4 litres of new oil all over my...
Hope it will solve my overheating problems at the track... :p

Not too much room for the hoses...
Do calippers from a Megane og Laguna fit my 16v? Are they eny bigger? I dont want eny lager disks than standard on my car, but a bigger pad would be nice...
I had the same problem, started to leak when I filled up the car. It was the gasket around the cap that you can see when you lift upp the rear seat.
I have also taken my tank out once to clean my fuelpump. Hope I dont have to take it out again. Not too difficult, but a wery messy job...
Past couple of weeks my 16v has become hard to start, having to rev it upp a bit when I start it, sounds like it dident fire on all sylinders. But after 1 min it ran fine. I thougt it might be the cold weather at the wrong type of plugs. When I changed them the looked the old ones where wery...
It is 420mm wide and 14rows high. With theromstat in the "oilfilter-adapter".
Good luck with the new engine!
Please post some pics of your project as it develops;)
Yes the car is on the road again. Runns fine to work... I have bougt a large oilcooler to fit fro ISA Racing in germany. That and togheter whith a low temp thermostat (which I am trying to order fro BB), I hope the temp will be low enough to go at it at the track again.
How is your car comming...
Dont understand why companies put out webshops and their e-mail adress if they dont check their mail or shop. My english arent that great so I prefere to order online. :pHope I will not have to wait for ages... :(
