as title how can i change the headlight bulb on the drivers side as there is no space behind it what so ever.... as far as i can see the only way is bumper off headlight off and i really dont want to do that..
just thought about trying that and i cant get to the back of the drivers side one..... had the lamp out and it has a black spot in the centre which indicates its blown but why would it come on for a short time and then go out...
off topic but my car makes a horrible noise when you give it the beans in 1st and 2nd ive been told engine mounts will solve this..... is this the case?
ok ive had this problem with mine....ive now sorted it yesterday...... top engine mount to the left of the engine there are 4' 16mm bolts.... loosen them off tap the frame forward no more than 5-7mm it can be done with a few light hits with a hammer.... tighten back up job done.
need a couple of front tyres this month cant afford to splash out on great tyres right now as ive just had lots of work done on my car... i know a guy that does part worn tyres and quite often gets quality tyres or should i buy new and go budget?
just looked through this thread, it sounds crazy to me... 1: ive not insured cars properly in the past, big mistake you will lose! 2: why not just repair or replace the 1.2, sell the car and buy a standard 1.4/1.6/2.0 whatever you can afford because the insurance will be ceaper than a modefied...
yea thats what i would expect but im not earning massive money right now as im still a trainee, so to me i cant see the sense in paying all that money if i could afford it then yes 100% sportlines...... but for now if springs will do the job i might take that option..
appart from the clear price difference is there really such a massive difference.... i want my 172 to sit a little nicer and dont fancy paying 600+ for coilovers and also dont want it to handle like s**t on springs...... what do you guys think?
could be this has come up before.... i do most my work myself and so far i've been told bottom ball joint wheel bearing top mount and shock absorber.... just wanna make sure i buy the right part and don't waste my money..
hi i have a massive vibration coming from my front drivers side when i turn sharp left.... any idea what this could be, it feels like my wheel is going to fall off.. i'm not stupid so its not something silly like a loose wheel....:(
cheers i will check it out..... the wheels are balanced fine and unlike yours i have no knocking noise its fine over pot holes etc, but on hard acceleration in first and second there is a horrible noise and a hard to explain rough acceleration feeling... deffo something michanical rather than...
Right ok when i turn in hard left, i have a horrible vibration throught the front of the car. it feels like my wheel is going to fall off help meeee...
hmmm if a mate did it cheap he probably hit the bearings in with a hammer not a propper pressing machine.... most garages will charge 20 quid just to press the bearings alone never mind touching the car.....
im not an expert but i would say who ever fitted them last year didn't press them properly...... they should last longer then 1 year providing your on standard wheels...... as for spottind it i dont thing you will have play in your wheels but jack the car up they will be stiff to turn and not...
noticed the other day my brakes were grinding a little...... picked up some pads this morning and changed them..... changed the first side, thought it was a little strange they didn't need changing. got to the other side the pad on the outside was down to the metal but the inside pad looked...
I had a crash when i was 18 in my 206 quicksilver different wheels stainless filler cap and ger knob.... all non declared, my insurance company tried to contest them all i pleaded ignorance and said i had no idea they were not standard, it took 6 months for a pay out.... deffo declare the...
Since i started dricing i have paid my own insurance, and got my own no claims etc but a friend of mine drives arround in a scooby sti, it annoys me because i cant insure a car like this at the moment but the car is in his dads name along with the insurance... any investigation after a crash...
and fyi i dont want them to flash all the time that would be stupid, just when i brake hard so basically what a vxr and numerous other cars do as standard...
