I was adjusting my fronts and noticed the adjuster was spinning freely, turns out the grubscrew wasn't grubbed enough.
in my infinite wisdom, I decided to check the other grubscrews as well, a lot were not quite tight.

My car seems determined not to pass its Dutch mot.
The heater/climate panel died.
It still lights up, but none of the controls work.
I've had the panel apart, and gone over it with a magnifying glass, no sign of burning or corrosion.
Fuses are fine, plugs are corrosion...
Apparently for the Dutch MOT 'loose springs' is a fail.
Guess what happens when you lift my 182 on B16's......
Car is dropped 40mm as per RCCK.
Am I right in thinking longer helper springs is the hands off solution?
All longer helpers will do is loose me some 'drop' I'm not using anyway right...
Finally going to mount my PMS exhaust manifold.
Fully expecting nuts and studs to fight me and go pearshaped.
So, OEM Renault replacement, or is there something better out there (ARP?)

Changing my own belt for the first time.
Apart from a 182 being an absolute pig to work on, and the Renault manual being in a weird order and extremely nebulous it's going alright.

I'm having a hard time getting the PMS sump plate to fit.
It's fitted now with extra spacers, but it seems my engine hangs lower than it should.
Anybody know what the clearance between the subframe and the sump should be?
I think the time has come for me to build an engine....my first, and probably last (unless rebuilds will count if I c**k up!)
The options are bewildering to say the least, and have been chatting to a few people i consider knowledgable (thank you @Radugns, @pure-motorsport )

Why do people keep saying it increases spring rate?
The spring rate is a given, it doesn't change!
Spring rate:
If you put weight X on the spring, it will compress X mm
Spring preload:
If you put weight 'X' on the spring and leave it there, it will compress 'X' mm and stay...

As car is a daily I want to protect the well.
Dynax UC is on the list, as are sleeves, but I thinking about adding covers for the adjuster knob on the bottom.

anybody ever think of welding a nut to the top of the upright so you can 'lock' camber while tightening the shock bolts up?
Geo seems a bit hit&miss with the setting 'creeping' as you tighten.
after trying tyo kill myself multiple times by working on my own car, I had my car aligned yesterday.
all is much better now except for some small stuff that needs to be fixed to make it perfect.

hare brained idea....
use the gearbox sump plug and the filler plug as the exit and intake for a gearbox cooler.
sump is M16x1.5 , so could be fitted with a banjo, filler hole I don't know yet.
would this work, be safe, etc?
Saw a pic in my FB feed the other day of a cup racer wishbone.
It had some kind of insert in the outer end (for stiffening?)
Today i'm looking at the parts catalog, and it is not in there, did it only come with the wishbone?
