I'm assuming he means a Clio engine using the variable timing, but with a custom turbo set-up from the Megane? More detail would be good though, sounds like good numbers :)
Seems like a harsh thread to me - KTEC are getting bad-mouthed before you've spoken to them/told them that you're unhappy - surely best to do that first before posting on here. They seemed nice when I spoke to them, happy to advise even though I didn't buy anything from them in the end.
Hi guys
I don't really know much about head units, hence my post! Car is a Ph2 172, and currently has a Sony (don't know the model) head unit and multichanger, both of which work with the stalks. The only reason I'm looking for a change is that neither the changer nor the head unit can play...
It's a fair point mate - people doing stupid speeds in 30 limits (or on single track blind bend-ridden country lanes) is really poor driving. It's not like speeding in those circumstances is even any fun - just mindless. This isn't addressed at the OP though - I've no idea what speed he was doing.
This is my exact point - I'm not trying to lecture anyone, I'm just saying you could use vids like that to work out whether you could've done anything better.
Of course I'm not saying I'd let off at every junction, but I'd like to think I would've for that one, because I couldn't see it was...
It's hard to judge, and you don't seem to be speeding, but it certainly didn't look like you adjusted your speed to take account of conditions (no noticeable reduction in speed at the "SLOW" or where the area became built-up). Also look at how much he can see - parked cars etc taking his...
Thanks mate - I couldn't see what I was looking at on the diagram. I'll need to check that mates up with the "Clio" badge on the right too, as the Renault and Clio badges seems to be level, with the sport below.
Thanks SC03, but as I say, I've got that diagram - all it shows is the position of the "Sport" badge relative to Renault badge and the near side edge of the bootlid, it doesn't have any measurements as to height/orientation of the Renault badge, and assumes that the Renault badge is correctly...
Hi guys
I'm in the process of rebadging the rear of my 172 (debadged by a previous owner) to put it back to OEM. Does anyone have the measurements for the location of the "Renault" badge? I've got the details for the "Sport" part.
Cheers
Neal
Hi all
Just by way of an update, I bought an '03 plate full-fat 172 last weekend. Having it checked over (including new rear discs and pads) by TwoTechs later this week, but seems to be running nicely and I'm impressed so far. Looking for trackday opportunities prior to taking it on a 'Ring...
Cheers gh, much appreciated - pics below as requested :)
306 - minor mods - lowered/solid mounts for engine, gearbox and rear beam/M1144 pads/braided lines. Done 4-5 trackdays at UK circuits.
Cerbera 4.5 - fantastic car. Sold it as I realised it was semi-possible to use the performance on...
Hi all
Just a quick post to introduce myself - previous car history is pretty varied, including a Fiat Coupe 20v Turbo, E36 M3 Evo and a couple of TVRs, but I've always liked sporty french hatches, and am doing the occasional trackday in a 306 GTI-6 I picked up a couple of years ago.
I'm...
