The noise could be travelling down the chasis. On back. Check shocker recoil. Check for oil. Or jack car up, chock front wheels and put in gear then release hand brake and check bearing on back wheel.

Wheel bearings on the rear are expensive. To buy from renault are around £60 alone. Local parts place will be around £35-£40. Local garage would probably charge an hours labour (most at around £40ph) that may include for pressing out old and pressing new bearing into disk. Works cheaper to buy...
