This seems to be happening to my clio tonight, Sounds like something is rubbing. Too dark to look at it tonight. But not sure if this is the problem :s
Im with Daniel on this, i had £2500 to spend and looked all over. Found a lot of dogs that i would of needed to pump another £2000 in to get yo a decent standard. Luckly i stumbled across my 172 through a friend. No regrets, enjoying it massively

Wasnt able to get to the Pease Pottage meet on Saturday as Girlfriends Birthday ( How comes it always lasts a week for them???)

Would be good to meet up. Was the girlfriends birthday so had to take her to see her parents in essex. But would liked to of been there. .

Thanks. Needs a little TLC in areas but over all very nice. Clutch bite seems a little high but mot is due in june so will get it all looked over before hand and rectify any thing that needs doing

All i would say is that it would be a waste of your money adding mods trying to make it into something it is not. Painful to wait but save your money and buy the car you really want.
Only way you can really get away with getting it to a garage is getting it trailer driven in. One way would be to find a garage that you agree to get the work done at, and also book an MOT for the day you are going there. Then you will be able to legally drive straight to the garage (but it must...

New to the site and have my first Renault Clio Sport after a lot of recommendation from a few friends with 182's.
But the price range i had i opted for a 172 with a lot of history and potential.

I have just purchased my Clio ph2 172. And i love it. But i will say that it is a little bumpy at times as well, but do recommend getting one.
