I used velcro coins front and back on my 182, fine on track at 120mph+, never once fallen off in five or so years.

I did 3 coins per plate.
If the gearbox is soaked it's probably the high pressure line. There's one that literally runs up and over the gearbox (under the battery / airbox) to the rack.
Mine blew there on a trackday - pricey for a genuine replacement
Worth knowing! Don't think they've added that feature, they just have the high speed one now (450rpm) which subsequently drops the torque from around 70nm to 45nm
Got to take the diff out the Caterham soon for some upgrades. So it will be a nice addition for that and removing prop bolts. Just have to remember not to over tighten smaller bolts with it.
I'll definitely have a look for those. Used it today and it's lovely on the auto tighten/loosen setting. Much nicer than my Chinese special one.
So decided to buy the M12 fuel ratchet and batteries too 🙈.
My chinese 1/2" impact gun final battery has now died, so time to get something reliable.
Any recommendations for the most versatile impact gun for DIY garage mechanics (mostly Caterham). I was thinking M18 Fuel spec but even then, there seems to be quite a few variations.
I didn't like Bathe+. Seemed like a poor comprised shampoo and nothing worth writing home about protection wise.
Used it twice and the bottle is now sat there.
I put Revolve on my wheels 2 years ago. Took them off to clean / remove wheel weights before going to the tyre shop...
On a separate note, I needed to do the ceramic on the paint. The infinity wax 1 year ceramic lasted 18 months, but was really dead now.
So a quick one step polish for the...
Lite lasted 18 months on my daily, to be honest it still beads 2 years on but it's notably weaker.
I'd get their 2 year coating now (and have done, just waiting to find time to apply)
How long are you leaving it for?
I personally wouldn't run it if it's for an extended period of time, likely to induce unnecessary condensation.
In terms of fuel tank I always brim it, even though the tank is plastic on the Clio's, there are parts of the fuel pump that are metal. With the...
Infinity Wax Pure Shampoo is also great. Dilutes well and 5l is very cheap per use.
I bought my 5l at the end of 2020 and I've still got a little bit left (I also have 3 cars to look after)
I think its the supply chain issues meant they could not manage the cashflow.
Caterham had a record year of sales but didn't make a profit. Cars are being endlessly delayed, sat in the factory, waiting for random parts to arrive.
If you've got a standard 182 cat I'd try to keep that going as long as possible. Emissions will be a bit of a faff ongoing otherwise.
You can either sleeve the olive joint or weld a new flange on the manifold side. Shouldn't be a reason to get rid.
Could be tempted by a full track day here, anyone fancy some passenger laps in the Caterham? :P
Will probably just be the day as I'm not sure where I'll be treatment wise / hospital visits.
