I hope so, the new motor could be here as soon as this week, it's had a lot of hits on autotrader and ebay, but no contact apart from one guy who wanted everything in exchange for nothing

Thanks all - I've added a thread on here too

I've only been for a quick drive through a a set of roundabouts and an expressway; it does feel a bit firmer from first impressions but i'll have to take it out properly! It looks half decent though :)

I managed to pick up an Ultra Racing boot brace from one of the forums; painted red with a Renaultsport sticker. It's got a few scratches but matches the car pretty well!

Yeah a track EP would be awesome, shed a bit of weight from it and a couple of light mods! TBH I'd like anything as a track going car haha! You driving the EP currently?

It's a lot easier to make progress with in the tighter corners, despite the VVT the Clio can be kept within reach of the power band with less effort than in the Civic - cause of the VTEC engagement.
Clio is a smaller car, shorter wheelbase so feels more nimble to chuck around (helped by the cup...
I had a MK7 Golf GTD for a year or so before the commute became less miles and I bought this :); before that I had a short affair with an A3 (1.6 Diesel...) and before that (which was before I took a job with a longer commute), an EP3 Civic Type-R :)
Had to change the thermostat last week, the car just wasn't getting up to or holding regular temperature, all sorted now. (no pics, but if you've seen a thermostat before, it looked like one of those!).
Went for a drive in Wales yesterday, was great to get it out for some decent driving!

I use an autobrite lance; I think I went for magifoam for the free sample but have been using AF avalance since then (still not at the end of my 1L bottle, only really use thick foam in winter and more of a light soap consistency in summer months). I got mine (must be a while back now!) on a...
Thought I'd post an update of other things that have been happening since the original post!
Full service, including "the belts" job was completed in June, along with:
- Toyosports stainless/pre-cat decat manifold (std one had cracked on 1 & 4)
- Powerflex upper & lower engine mount & gearbox...
Yeah, all the work on this car has been by Carl, and will continue to be :). Fortunately (for me) it's not been back since the clutch!

I think this one might have come up before...
How can the camber be adjusted on the front of an RS Clio 200?
There are the odd sites selling 'clio 200 camber bolts' - but they just look like the universal powerflex items ( here).
It does say "This fits 2 bolt hub to strut models only" - whether...
Again, realized I never updated this thread;
It ended up getting difficult again, and eventually had some clutch drag. New clutch & slave and it's been fine ever since (it was a few months ago now)
Never replied! So, had the gear oil changed, clutch bled, powerflex'd the lower engine mount, and it's much improved. Occasionally difficult to select 1st or reverse after starting, but nowhere near as bad as it was

Having owned this for a few months now, I thought I'd finally post a proper progress thread.
Wouldn't expect quick progress mind.
Anyway; bought this car in January, good mileage and well specc'd:
- FF Clio 200 with cup pack
- 47k miles
- Recaro seats
- Speedline wheels
- Cornering/projector...
I took the tweeter cover out, out of curiousity to see if there were any tweeters inside (there isn't).
Anyway, i've snapped one clean in half, and can't for the life of me find a part number or anywhere selling them online.
Posting as a last resort before heading to renault! Anyone know of...
Cheers, i'll give him a ring, as he's quite close for the odd-job, will still plan on getting the belts done at Birchdown.
This might seem like a right tardy question - but...
When cold (1st thing in the morning), selecting 1st gear is quite stiff & have to use a bit of force/persuasion. It...
 Spot on mate, have you used them before?
Reason I ask, is the big belt service is due soon & people seem to be hot/cold on where to have them done
Quick question,
I've got the 'normal' gearbox issues when cold, which seems to be much less of an issue if I get pressure into the hydraulic system by pressing the brake pedal firmly whilst selecting 1st gear, on a cold morning.
Aside from that, all's good.
So, I'm going to get a brake/clutch...
