172 phase 2 accelerator pedal sensor fault

Hi all, have a problem with my 172, threw an electrical warning light the other day and went into limp mode, switched off and back on again and ran normal...Next day the engine is revving between 2-3000, plugged in diagnostic which gives a df125 accelerator pedal sensor 1 intermittent, have googled the part number but nothing comes up, was wondering if there's anything obvious I should be trying first and whether or not I could try a known working pedal if the part number is different??
