182 rear tow eye

Has anyone fitted a rear tow eye / strap to a 182?
I know there is no mounting point for one but just wondering what people have done.

Not usually required if its for recovery on track and you have a cage, pop boot open and tow from that with a strap

It was a mobile chicane at oulton rs day one year as well iirc. 😂 Assuming it's chi's old one?

Rear towing,,,,,I'm cheap so used one end of 2T ratchet strap, relieved the black trim and cut bumper behind. Strap is then D shackled to the rear frame. There is a convenient hole I think. My thinking was that if I'm on fire I just want to be off the track pdq before it catches fire too.

This is where I put mine there is a hole behind the bumper to bolt to which seems pretty strong!

Yeah I'm doing the brakes on it on Tuesday so I'll take pics when I put it on the ramp

Theres a hole in the rear chassis behind where the rear bumper insert is. About 12-14mm diameter.

I machined an extension adapter for mine to allow me to fit a tow eye, not sure if ive put photos in my build thread.
