Alloy wheel "painting" in Midlands

  Countryman JCW
Looking for somewhere to get some alloys refurbished & painted (not powder coated - due to wheels being painted don't react well to heat used in powder coat baking).

Anyone have any recommendations please?

Why not take them somewhere which will shotblast and powder coat them?

£50 per wheel at city coatings iirc

The wheels in question are Evo 8 MR wheels. They are very weak and it worries me that they will be damaged due to the high temperatures used when baking them. They say its best to just get them painted...

Didn't they used to be £20 per wheel?
yeah something like that

I went to a "cheap" place recently for powder coat blue... they waned £90 a wheel. Ha!
Searching for nice colour blue rattle cans atm, unless anyone knows anywhere in the South East

Powder coat is only baked at about 200 degrees isn't it? Hardly going to do any damage to the wheels at that temperature.

Imagine how hot they must get if you're on track etc? They're bolted straight to the discs that get to the point of glowing red hot - some of that heat must transfer to the wheel too?

Go touch your wheel after a 'spirited' drive. You'll be surprised just how hot they get!
