Bristol Clique - Chew Valley Drive and Breakfast

There are a few of us in Bristol now that are of the non mong variety and it would be good to meet you all.

Just trying to get some ideas for a drive and late breakfast event on a Saturday or Sunday in June.

Initial thoughts for driving locations;

Chew Valley
Over the Mendips
Photo opp at Cheddar gorge

There is a nice cafe at Chew Valley lakes called Lillypool Cafe (http://www.lillypoolcafe.co.uk/) that would be good for a stop off.

As you can tell, loose ideas at the moment but if there is some interest I will plan routes and go into more detail.

As an initial suggestion I will say 22nd June meet at 8.30am.

That is the weekend after Le Mans, so Mr Potato will still be in France trying to find his way home without his passport or any clothes.

If it was later in the day, I may make the trip SW way....I have a dinner party the night before so will be too intoxicated to drive early in the morning.

Absolutely fine, just a marker in the sand. I'm completely free the whole weekend.
Cub. would the Saturday morning work for you? Although you're not strictly Bristol clique so you're not a priority.

So - I would like some solid figures on attendance (I know my organisation is poor).

We have (at the moment) 3 options;

Fosse Way;



A369 taking in Chew Valley & the Mendips;



Or something a bit more adventurous going up to Brecon (subtle changes can be made to the route as necessary).





I am keen to really pin this down now. So @TomSx @Carbonraider @McGherkin Matt W Cub. (I doubt you're attending what with Le Mans madness) Wrighty. Jamie86 what time can you do on Saturday? I'm thinking now push it later in the morning and stop off somewhere for lunch and 1 Beer? I will find a suitable venue dependent on route.
