Further to my questions in regard to the Alpine head and changer, does your Alpine CHA-S624 changer play CDR/CDRW discs. I guess the CDRs but what about CDRW?

Definetly plays CDRs, havent tried CDRW disks as yet.

the head unit on the 172 does work with cdrws not sure about the changer

Hi Chris,

Your right neither Alpine (12 or 6 disc) changer plays CD-RWs, although they will play CD-Rs.

I think the only Alpine unit that plays CD-RWs is the head unit I have the MP3 CDA-7878R.
