Uploaded these for the RB appreciation thread but it makes sense to chuck them in here too

Found some pics of mine from the owner before @bashracing thanks to some FB stalking!

Chucked my turinis on for no real reason other than I've got them and my rainsports are pretty much bald. Got 3000 miles from one pair and 2500 from the other but they're still above the wear bars. Done 7k in it now which has surprised me!

I'm going to sell them on as I like how few folk have superleggeras compared to turinis and prefer the look of them too

Had a cracking drive out today with the wife and kid. My daughter loves being in "Daddy's race car" and going fast, it's far from flat out, tend to boot it in 1st and then she thinks we're flying along!
It was a choice of staying at home, doing DIY and washing it or going up to the trossachs. Thought about it for about 4 seconds and buggered off.

Stopped at some random snobby as f**k antiques place to use the loo and had to park here

And then just about 5 miles along from Lochearnhead

Was a great day out and the wee clio did well, so much more fun than the Saab that we took up there back in June! Should hit 137,000 miles either tomorrow or Tuesday, its due an oil change and its got the slightest little knock from the front end and thats literally all that its needing just now. I think I like this about as much as I like the flamer. Which is bad news for the bank account!

Not an interesting post, more for my own records tbh! Oil change today at just over 137,000 miles, new xenon adjuster fitted and back on the superleggeras as the turinis are sold. Need to get my winters sorted after payday. Seem to be averaging 1000 miles a month and bar motorway droning it does it very well.

Turinis got sold so back on the superleggeras for now, winter tyres ordered though so will be on 15s soon for a few months. Been pretty busy recently and on 138,000 already. Only recent issue is the exciter wire on the starter needed a jiggle one day, will add it to the small list of things I need to sort.

Did 140 miles purely on back roads on Monday and a jaunt up north today for work and couldn't have been happier with it for that sort of thing.

Just missed the chance to edit that post above but so far its cost me £100 to maintain and with the selling of some parts has covered a lot of the mods I've done so it stands me at £250 for modding. I really can't complain at that for nearly 9000 miles!

Nearly at 139,000 now which has been helped by 2 random drives into the countryside in the last 2 weekends.

Last week went to Callendar and stopped just north of it for the wee one to splash about and throw stones into the Loch, took a couple of pics of the car too.

And then today we got distracted whilst heading towards St Mary's Loch and ended up at Talla Reservoir

And eventually ended up in Peebles where the car dried in the sun a bit!

Aye could do with a wash for sure. Might take it to a jet wash just to get the worst off.
Won't be using it now until Thursday so maybe the rain will rinse it.

Yeah it's nice to have it all on the doorstep, both of those locations are within a hour and in opposite ways so the options are always decent. Just nice to get out and use it, think that's what put me off the flamer a bit, only used it for the commute. And the Saab ain't much fun really!

Managed to find a pic from the last time I went there back in 2008 apparently

We appear to be revisiting places we've been before!

Hit 139,000 miles on the way home and it now needs a bearing, its definitely on the left and I think and hope its a rear one since I need new discs anyway!

Rear discs and pads fitted tonight cos the bearings were shot. On removal it showed that they were both fucked!
No pics of that though cos it's dull! So here's yet another filthy one.

That's it on 139,400 miles now, almost exactly 10,000 miles done now.

The wife pretty much begged me to clean her car on my day off on Friday so seeing as how I had all the stuff out I thought I may as well do mine, it was pretty bogging tbf.

And finished, it wasn't anything more than a quick wash! After the pressure wash it was left at normal levels of dirt and the wheels only got pressure washed!

Next thing on the cards for it is the front seats from my flamer, see which door cards are in the best nick and then MOT before the 7th of Jan. Maybe. If I'm sober enough at any point in the holidays.

Another year, another mini road trip! We went hunting gruffalos yesterday and found him near Inverary, couple of phone pics that aren't of the wife and child.

Came home and noticed a flat on the Saab thanks to a nail in the middle of a tyre so the wife took the clio to work today, she didn't even take a photo as it passed 140,000 miles, amateur.

MOT tomorrow so that light will be getting switched off once I'm there!

It's on just over 141k now and is off the road for the first time in my ownership. Nothing too bad hopefully! It sounds like the front nearside bearing is away, certainly sounds rough but oddly has no play in it so fingers crossed it's just that and not the diff!
As you can see I've chucked a new track rod end on as I can't find my splitter and couldn't be bothered with the faff so as soon as the nut started spinning on the thread it got cut off! Also changing the front pads as these are getting low. Just some standard ones I had on the shelf so that's not so bad.
IMG_8994.JPG

Of course being a Clio a rear shock has decided to give up. It's had a long life of about a year and 12k so it's done well. Thankfully I've got a couple of spares that came off my flamer so I've chucked one of them on for now and will get a pair ordered up in the near future.

IMG_8993.JPG

And finally as you can see it's filthy again. Something my boss helpfully highlighted. Being in the garage with not enough hubs means it was a good old babywipe wash of the plate, mirrors and lights.

It's about the shortest I've had but not by much. Maybe my driving style combined with the local roads and how often it gets packed to the rafters with stuff hasn't helped!

No it's not, oddest thing eh? The worst electrical things are the abs light has come on once and the starter exciter wire fell off. Considering the age and mileage I can't complain at that. 3rd is a bit crunchy at very high revs but it's not a track car so it's not much of an issue yet.
