- Cold starting...

Hey, Just wondering if anybody could help us out with this...

When my clios engine (1800 16v - F7P) is cold and i try to start it up, it stalls straight away unless i gently hold the Acc pedal. Once the cars been running for around 30 seconds or so its fine.

I was thinking about the cold start valve... But im an office jocky not a tech wizard lol so ive not really got a clue.

Any help would be extremely appreciated

CTS (coolent temp sensor) or ISCV (idle speed control valve) maybe?

try a coolant temp sensor first.

its overfueling.

You could try unplugging the cold start injector on the bottom onf the inlet manifold to see if it makes a diff.

can you do that Ben without it causing any other problems? is that all the injector does?

yes the additional injector is for cold starts.you can unplug it without causing problems just to eliminate it.personally i would look at the coolant temp sensor first though as i cant say ive ever come across any problem with the cold start injector before.then again theres always a first time.

thats what i mean Jay, unplug it to see if it is overfueling that is the problem.
