Redish motorsport is who I'd recommend but he's shite at contact too in all honesty.

Love the car.

Hi Joe, hope you're well.

Sorry if I've missed something to cause you to say that.
Admittedly there are times when I can't get to all phone calls / emails I do admit. Sorry if I've missed one from you.

The good news is I've expanded and taken on Luke who works full time with me in the workshop now.
He also answers the phones when needed, so I can definately say it is very easy to get hold of either myself or Luke via the phone during working hours.

Sorry to hijack the thread!

Best regards,
James :D

Gave it a little clean yesterday to clean off all the dust/cobwebs etc. Still looks great when clean!

Can't wait to get it back, properly detailed and to actually drive the thing!

So, the ///M went to the garage Saturday, called up earlier to say after testing/diagnostics its the fuel pump at fault.

Problem is the fuel pump is on back order currently in Germany. So they say it can take 5-7 days to arrive, though the guy did say that they've got a couple of cars been stuck around for 2-3 months because of back order parts!

So fingers crossed for some luck!

So, at last an update! Primarily because I've been too lazy and have much preferred to drive the damn thing!

In short, I've missed this car. A lot. Currently spent just shy of £250 in fuel, covered 650 miles after tonight's 60 mile 'random drive' in less than 5 days. A trip to Mallory Park race circuit the day after flying back from Majorca, to the very day after doing 120 miles driving to Goodwood and surround countryside taking in some amazing roads.

Got some new brakes of George (G172 on here), Brembo HC's with Ferrodo DS2500 pads, so no more warped disks and mega squealy CL pads which is nice! Followed by fitting a full set of Michelin PS3's, which let me tell you have transformed this car! Before I was always a little nervous with stretching the cars legs as the old part worn ContiSport 5's were probably past their best, though with these PS3's they're incredible! Though I can see myself going through them pretty quick at the rate of how many miles I'm doing, especially when this car is only used for fun!

Only bad thing is I've developed a knocking noise when on the brakes/lifting off but its intermittent, so need to look into that. Still drives absolutely sublime though

Here's a couple of rubbish pictures of a few places I've been...

Yes I know its dirty, I haven't even bothered to clean it. Driving is soo much more fun than cleaning, so I need some to clean/detail/correct it for me. Any takers? :)

Great to see it's finally back!

For when Kayla buys one? LOL

Mate, she's sold on a zed. But the clio passed its mot with no advisories. Which I should be chuffed about. But it means we aren't getting anything German until it goes bang.

Lovely. Who did the work and diagnostics in the end? Always nice to know of good specialists.

Kevin Bird sorted me out in the end, cheers for the recommendation by the way!

That is lovely! Colour is awesome too.

Cheers matey!

Great to see it's finally back!

I know, 11 months since it let me down in France. Time flies!

Are those pictures of all your Dogging haunts?

Lol, there was some alright birds around there when I was taking the pictures come to think of it! ;)

  330i. E30 Touring.
I can only echo how the PS3's have transformed this car,

I was shaking like a leaf- the grip levels are f**king insane. And I'm not just saying that- it's INCREDIBLE.

They have transformed my new A4 which was on contis and horrible ! Handle 430lbs/ft well even in the wet ;-)

I've been following this thread since the start and really thought I'd see you last night - I mean how many of these can their be!
Pulled up at the lights next to a Byzanz M3 Saloon in a friend's 120d.
He went for it when the lights changed and the car sounded very nice indeed.
The colour looks great in the metal too!

Well, what can I say... Went straight from Brands to a chiropractor session, home, dinner then bed. Knackered.

The car. Phenomenal in short, truly awesome. For a car that's pretty much standard (aftermarket lowering springs on the front) the car is massively composed/balanced and not as much as a handful as I expected. It literally eats paddock hill bend without a fuss, yet when I've done brands in the past in the clio even with sticky tyres it didn't give me half as much confidence as the M3.
You could use many gears for corners and with the way the power delivery is you're never 'off the boil', it just pushes its way through them and rockets off on the straights! The Michelin PS3's wore nice and evenly and provided easily enough grip to have fun, I think anything stickier would ruin the fun of driving it. Only gripe would be when trying to push a little harder the car could do with a little more camber/toe on the front and I should have fitted the rear stiffer lowering springs so that it made the rear a little more mobile, as even when trying to provoke the rear there was so much grip. For a large car that weighs near on 1500kg, it really handles like a smaller hatchback car.

In short, sack off your 'mental' clio trackcars off, get a good condition BMW M3 saloon with good tyres and have a wicked laugh. Plus when peddled properly will be much quicker than a clio!

Will pop some pictures up from the day when the CD gets posted to me.
