What are you using it for?

If its just to connect something like a computer to a 4k TV, an Amazon basics cable will do the job...

Or even a v1.4 cable from wilko will work (£2 for 1m)

buy the cheapest one you can find, being digital an HDMI cable will either work or not work, not like a scart cable for example where different cables gave different quality picture.

Higher rated cables came in with HDMI 2.1 but unless you're running 5k+ you don't need them.

cheap quality cables can kink and compress the '0's they con sometimes be that compressed they are seen as '1's at the other end!!

I had an Amazon Basics cable that I purchased a couple of months back and despite supposedly being fully up to standard, the PS4 Pro didn't like it and wouldn't give me the full 4K with HDR etc.

In my experience it isn't as simple as just buying any cable that meets the High Speed HDMI standard. I've had too many that the PS4 Pro didn't like although the Xbox One is far less fussy.

That Amazon cable that didn't fully support 4K was only 1.8m or something. The longer you go, the greater the risk of it not working too.

The PS4 Pro is such a whiny sensitive little b**ch when it comes to cables that as soon as I see it being mentioned I feel I have to warn you....

That would seem the sensible thing for Sony to do if the console is funny about the cables it takes.

I've got the amazon basic HDMI cable the supports upto 8k or something daft. It was around £8/9 delivered and works very well. I'd recommend

yes, it's 4k compatible
