headlight reflector inside bit???

  Clio 172 CUP
Changing the main dipped bulbs in ma cup yesterday and noticed that the housing/reflector part of the light unit is loose on the passenger side leaving it free to send the beam as high/low as it wants when goin over uneven ground?
Whats happened?
Is there a clip holding it or something else there as i have checked the otherside and it is solid as....!
Its only loose on the bottom of the light as if there is nothing there and hinged on the top.

Any suggestions?

you have detached it from the leveling motor on the back of the headlight, you need to clip it back in

It's inside the headlight unit casing, where you put your hand in to replace the bulbs, is that right?

Its at the back of the headlight and has a white bit ontop which an allen key fits into and will have a couple wires going into it.

to reattach it first remove the adjuster by twisting it anti clockwise and then try and locate the white pin into the slot at the back of reflector as you put it back. (hard to explain but its easy when you see it)

It may be alot easier to take the headlight off to do it. Bumper off job though.
