Ibis White Audi TT S-Line Roadster Protection Detail - Gtechniq C2v3!

Through a recommendation from the owner of the previously detailed Focus RS - http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=315120

I was contacted to detail a very nice Audi TT S-Line Cabriolet, in Ibis White.

The detail was again carried out in Bristol, with the customer living just a few miles away.

Onto the detail, a few before's of the car -

The roof was first on the list, brushed to remove cat hair and dust, followed by a wet vacuum to remove dirt.

3 hits on both the body and wheels removed most iron contamination and Tardis didn't have much of an effect, but removed all tar deposits before claying to avoid marring.

Thanks for looking if you have made it this far, comments always appreciated.

I used the Glaze and Seal a few weeks ago and I'm really happy with the results. The Sealent is definitely as good as TC and it smells lovely! I really like the Wheel Cleaner and APC, haven't tried the snowfoam or Window Cleaner yet though.

Glad to hear it's better than TC!

The snowfoam was as good as snowfoams get, didn't get a glass cleaner.

Already used all of my Wheels and APC! The shampoo is brilliant, one of the best I've ever tried.

Have to be perfectly honest, Andy - there have been times in the last where Kev and I have picked apart your threads/details and queried you doing other peoples' cars. Which I am sure you appreciate the reasoning for doing so. But you've come a long way since those days and the Audi looks superb! Top marks mate, really does look great!

Slightly belittling comment mate but I think there's a compliment in there somewhere, so thanks!

Whilst I always appreciate what you and Kev think, I would never have touched a car if I wasn't ready to, and the results/customer comments are always great so I'll just keep doing what I'm doing.. :)

Great work there! I'd never ever thought before of the treatment that a fabric soft-top would require?

D.

They can be a pain! it's amazing how much of the body they take up!

Lovely stuff, Andy. Great combination of prep and sealing to give a proper crisp finish. Ibis White is on of the best Whites on the market for giving that look. So clean and fresh.

I'm sure the customer was over the moon. Interested to hear more thoughts on C2V3 from a detailers pov.

As Sam says, Alan is a great guy, really helpful and the range is unique, unlike a lot of the rebottled stuff at the moment!

Thanks Jamie, did you sort out your Waxybox yet?

Literally just paid pal. Will update the thread now. Cheers for bearing with!

Thanks Kev! It really is, it's a very understated colour but looks so clinical when it's sorted out.

My honest thoughts on C2v3: I think it adds almost nothing to the visual appearance compared to TC or the like.

It leaves such a slick finish with such little effort though, and the durability is too good to resist!

One thing I have noticed though on a few cars I've done with C2v3 is that morning mist can show where you have swept with the microfibre, even when there was nothing left to buff off. You had any issues with that? I presumed it was down to over-application.

No problem mate.

Great results.

I've got a friend who had just bought a white TT, I'm itching to give it a going over.

I couldn't agree more with the above statement, the finish of these nano based sealants appears clinical in comparison with the likes of TC and wax based sealants. They are awesome on strong metallics though

Thank god it's not just me!

As much as it's a brilliant sealant, I'd not consider using it for show prep, whereas I would with TC.

Horses for courses obviously.

Interesting Andy/Dave. I felt C2V3 added to the looks of the Panzer, over Tripple. Feel this might be the case with lighter colours, but with reds (pizza boy shuttit ;) ) and other warmer colours it has an effect...

Yet to see dad's, which has had the same combo, but on a very light/clinical blue.

Lols! It's not s sealant. It's a sprayable nano sealant.

Anyway carry on.
