Do you think Microsoft will release a Blu-Ray bolt on for the 360?

If not I'm hoping the players will drop in price...

I'm sure someone posted on here saying that Microsoft have one in development.

I'm going to wait another 6 months before taking the plunge for a Hi def player.

yeah they will. thats why they designed it with external drives in mind for HD.

it is a shame that HD-DVD lost IMO, I would have preferred there to be both formats around and people buying dual players.

I like the fact that HD-DVD is region free so no waiting and checking to see if they have region coding like with bluray and also, the best movies in my HD collection are HD-DVD, The Kingdom, Matrix trilogy, Transformers and the Heroes Season 1 boxset.

Oh well, at least i can still watch them on my overly loud 360. Am considering buying this tosh player though if it drops to £50 so i don't have to buy those movies on bluray as it would cost me a lot more than getting that player, heroes alone is £70!

and it doesn't end there, Americas version of Dixons/Currys, Best Buy are favouring Bluray too

and Americas version of Lovefilm also recently went Bluray exclusive dropping HD-DVD.

and finally, the biggest name of HD-DVD drive support has been rumoured to be dropping HD-DVD also, this is only rumour but theres a good chance I reckon

and Michael Bay is now gloating that he told people so when he was very vocal about not wanting transformers to come out on HD-DVD because it was going to fail.
