Make sure you go for W3 subs. Duel Voice coil subs! Sound good.

I had a 12W3 and am also running a JL 1000.1 and 300.4 amp!!

Amazing sound quality!!!

if you are going to buy JL

make sure you start looking at the W6 series (12W6v2), very very competent subs, sound better than the W7s and look just as good

not as expensive either

wicked. Got 2 x 12" d2v2 300rms. tested then and just the subs were around 100 db.

Running a JL V2 12" W6 on a JL 1000/1 and oh yes im very pleased !!

I have a JL W3 12" that is no longer used and that was excellent quality as well !!
