Need advice on rims please

  172 cup
Hi guys,

I purchased my cup in mid-November from a used auto dealer. The turinis were in a bad state when I bought the car, they were scratched and curbed to hell. I've now noticed the laquer on all four wheels have began to peel and a bit of corrosion occuring on the inner portions of the rims.

I know this could probably be an easy fix if I were to bring it to a specialist to have them sandblasted, etc refurbed. I brought this situation up with the used auto dealer I bought the car from and what they offered was to refurb the wheels for me at 'trade' value. Do you think that is fair? I was kind of hoping they would at the very least go halfs on it since the peeling began after I bought the car.

Any suggestions or advice on this matter would be greatly appretiated. Thanks.

  Better than yours. C*nt.
Nah, kurbing will lead to the lacquer peeling as the water gets in under this.

Refurbing is fine, and I'd say their offer was generous. I know people that'd tell you to f**k off.

Sounds fair to me. You bought the car knowing the wheels were in a bad state so whats happened since isn't the delears responsibility.

take up the offer but check what price they are going to give and check it off against companys that specialise in wheel refurbs

as the price the garage give you at trade may not be all that and how skilled are they at it ect?

compared to a specialist that may charge slightly more but do it day in day out

It'll go to a specialist - it'll be one that they use on a regular basis so get discount which they'll pass on at a guess.
