Outside Temp Display

Where my time and everything is displayed in my car i can see that there is one to veiw the outside temperature, but this has never come on.

Anyone know why this is and if it can be rectified

Its a Mk2 Ph1

check under the passenger wingmirror to see if the sensor is actually present, as the wing mirror may have been knocked off and the sensor never replaced. other than that, you could remove the casing from inside the door, and check the wiring loom to ensure everything is connected/tight. they're the quick wins, if its still not working you may need to trace the wiring through the car, but i would sod it off.
