Radar detectors in a 172 Mk2 - question

Heard that the radar detectors do not work inside a Clio 172 MK2, as Renault is using some metallic insertions in the glass, which screens the device. Is this true? Is there an workaround for this apart from installing an exterior radar detector (receivers under the bonnet etc.)?

yes its true but also false you need to plae it inthe little clear bit at the bottom of the screen

why ? he just said you just place it on the clear patch at the middle bottom of the windscreen ?

Its meant to block GPS aswell but my GPS worked no problem..
