Rear passenger door won't unlock, urgent...

The rear passenger door on our mk2 will not unlock, using central locking or manually.

Have managed to get the door card off but cannot get any further to unlocking the door, appears to be something to do with the handle or locking mechanism that's stopping it.
I know its not a rod that has come loose as they are all still secured and something it resisting when they are pulled.

Anyone know what the problem could be and how we could open the door and fix it?

Will be very greatful if someone is able to help!

Does it unlock from the inside??

If so, apparently the latch mech can become stiff, new one and you're away.

no it doesnt open froom inside or outside :S i can figure out why, doesnt help you cant see much lol

i had this problem on my first clio( 03 ph2 ), i took the door card off, and opened the door with the long rod, i just needed to oil the mechanism , and it worked just fine.

not sure for how long though i sold the car straight on
