The car 130i running
Quaife LSD
M3 ARB's front and rear
M3 front and rear control arms
Birds B1 suspension
M135i front brake's
135i rear brake's
Uprated subframe bushes
re mapped running 279bhp
Its a pretty well setup car for fast rd and track (mainly the ring ) it still has all of its interior and is used daily which makes the trip to the ring very comfortable , tbh when pottering around town it drives like any other 130i actually it ride's 10 times better with the bilstein shock's
Im sure it's not everyones cup of tea but i love it !! bear in mind i came from a e46 m3 to this :)

Do you have a build thread?
A friend is looking at a 135 next week and your changes sound exactly like what he has planned

3rd picture down is epic! Looks like the car has just settled and you're ready to nail it [emoji1303] how did this go?

First time out on track (Castle Combe 23rd Sept) with this flamer, 'twas awesome fun and the car was faultless. Stock apart from some Brembo HC discs & Ferodo DS2500 pads (and a stupid exhaust 🙈).

They were strict on some things - noise, hand held cameras in the car, long sleeves (anyone know why short sleeves are a prob?).

They were cool about other stuff though, like the suction mounted camera, and generally the atmosphere there was great.

Free tuition provided throughout the day too!

I thought it was do do with something to hold onto if a marshall needs to drag you out of the car?? Or offers a bit mroe protection if a window goes / /glass everywhere? I was told at a driver's breifing a while back but can't remeber fully why. Similar reason with windows being up (if you have windows) so you don't fall out of the car if you roll it.

Not seen this thread before I don't think!
Here's mine. Albeit no track Photo's as my first day was last month.

MK1 Saxo VTS

Uprated linkages
Baker BM quickshift

Suspension/Handling:
160lb Grams racing springs
Bilstein B8 front shocks
Gaz GHA rear shocks
Polybushed wishbones
Polybushed Gearbox mount
Axle Lowered 40mm
VTS Wheels on AD08R's

Brakes:
306Hdi 266mm Calipers
Mintex 1144 pads
Brembo drilled+Grooved discs
Recent fluid change
OEM Master cylinder+lines
Pagid rear discs+pads

Weight Saving:
Sunroof removed+Aluminium sheet riveted in place
Seats/belts removed and replaced with Sparco bucket seats
Rear seats removed
Sound deadening removed
Speakers/ancileries removed
Door cards removed
Interior plastic/trim removed
Wiring trimmed back/removed
Immobiliser removed
Spare wheel removed
Spare wheel rack removed
Aerial removed

Currently weighs about 840kg's, and with the itb's fitted and mapped accordingly should produce around 160bhp ATF. This works out to around 193 bhp/ton, which is plenty!

In the future I plan to remove more weight (Polycarbs, fibreglass bonnet/bootlid, remove PS setup, remove heater matrix/pipework, dewiper+motor, remove inner door skins, remove bumper guards, C5 steelies 4.7KG a wheel I believe) which should bring the weight down to 800kg's. Headwork is also on the cards, which should push the power to 165bhp and 210 bhp/ton.

I've got this oil catch can bolted to the bulk head. Vents through the cap.

Under the gold heat shield is a Puremotorsport breather plate and then aeroquip and braided hose link it together.

Even though it's on Eibach Sportlines, I think cosmetically it needs lowering further, new alloys and some spacers. I doubt lower springs will make the track experience much better (may be Cooksports?), and spacers I've read would be detrimental......
