Uploading websites to webspace

  Renaultsport Mégane R26
Hi there all,

Recently purchased some webspace under the domain www.g101design.com Going to use the website as an image gallery and wondering what the best way to do it is? Ideally, would like a grid of thumbnails which once clicked, open up the full size image. Are there any templates that can be used? Also, once i've built the website, really not sure how to upload it? Can only seem to upload files to the webspace (as opposed to an html document that is the website itself).

Sorry if I haven't explained myself very well but any help you guys could offer would be great.

Thanks for your help,

Dave

Photoshop also has an automatic web gallery option which has nice layouts and is dead easy.

The best way to upload the files that are created is with FTP. Most hosting sites will give you the FTP settings and you can use windows to log on and transfer files, although there are better and safer programs too.

I just noticed that you have all the photos online already. If you create a HTML file and call it index.htm it will open that page instead of the apache server directory (normally).

You can link to the images from the html document with code such as :

<img src="Dave's 20th - (Brand &) Vicky.jpg" > (She must love you for that Pic)

Some servers have problems with filenames in that format, try birthday1.jpeg instead.
