I've never done Blyton and I don't trust the car yet, so I'll be very slow!

I've enjoyed tarting it up. When it was semi finished I was a bit sad, as I was nearly out of stuff to do. I'm hoping some track days will make me bond with it more.

It's started leaking gearbox oil out of the speedo sender now, there's always something to do on these!

One the carbon bits are here it'll look good.

That's my mate Jon, he was chasing to catch you up then lost 3rd gear... it reappeared later though!

Ah yeah, saw you lot. I wasnt on form at all, couldnt get into it! Car was fine but had a nightmare week before so had no confidence in the car!

Final session at Blyton with dead brakes.



New callipers and pads now needed.

Callipers were 40 (yes 40) years old and the pads were from 1998!

and arb's wont be the only thing required if its on stock white rear springs they are stupidly soft

I might get some new dampers tbh. The current spax ones are deffo past there best.
 
oh dear , yep the spax were very poor

i can dig out spring rates and geo if you like but something like 175 rear and 350 front with Westfield arb's

or talk to richard at blink or troy at northampton motorsport , or playskool

Small update.

Brand new twin pot 54mm callipers with DS2500 pads

A new throttle body (52mm) and elbow and air filter to replace the knackered one.

My old throttle body was a 48mm one with a "wedge" in it to limit flow. The VVC shouldn't have a wedged throttle body, so that's a bit weird. Will be good to see if I gain some top end by having the new throttle body.
 
Carbon dash next !!

arse of a job to do but worth it. whose carbon is it again ? am sure you said

doors and arches look exactly the same as my old ones
