Fast approaching middle age

Hi all,

I’ve had a number of hot hatches over the years (I had an R26 from new and loved it - regretted selling it) but in later years I’ve had to resort to cars a bit more sensible (company car rules state I must have 5 doors - yawn). However I’m desperate for something a bit more fun as a second car and would ideally like to get a 182 (a car I never had - I‘ve had a Gti 180 which was ok but always regretted never getting a 182).

I’ve seen a car for sale (FN05 VNP) and wondered if anybody knew anything about its history? It’s got anthracite wheels which suggests it might have the cup pack but has the standard spoiler.

40-something is a perfect age to get back into something rattly and fun

Easy enough to turn the front wheels, lay on your back and measure the bolt spacing with a tape measure

Sorry to disagree, but 40 something makes you a teenager. I am nearly 80 years old, and just reached middle age.Please get your facts right!!?.

Speaking as a 40 something, it's a perfect time to get a hobby car. Much less boring than getting into marathons.

In my 40something, I took up a new hobby, parachuting, and have got replaced hip/thumb/and a few other scars to prove it.For some reason, you cannot solo jump over the age of 58 in this Country, otherwise I would be doing it now , at nearly 80 years old.

I seriously hope I make to your age with that attitude and still own a hot hatch too 👍

I'm half your age but bought a 172 cup as a daily driver a couple years ago while everyone else my age has slowly succumbed to the boring family car, taking up golf and wearing cardigans 😂
