Clio 172 Clubsport

Managed to spend some time this afternoon getting a few things done. Picked up a ported inlet from @JKING3008 so thought it would be a good idea to paint that along with all the other engine parts. Happy with the result as I wanted a nice matte finish.

Made my own paint booth

Also managed to fit one side of the hub spacers.

Happy with how they sit, which is an added bonus

Hi Mate, loving the progress. Just wondering how long/hard it was to fit the hub spacers? Looking to do the same to my 172. Also seen an option on Pure Motorsport to add an addition 10mm hub spacer to the 10mm spacer already there, reckon its needed or the normal 10mm is fine?

Thanks in advance

How are you getting on with the modified shifter mate, i've been on the fence about getting one for mine for a while now and looking to bite the bullet on some mods before summer comes round

Not long, but my bolts were not rusty. Takes about 20/30 mins a side depending on all your tools. i've just got a 5mm hub spacer on mine now.

It's brilliant, having the stick higher is so much better. I do need to add the short shifter, which i'll do in the next few weeks.

Few weeks ago i did a track day at cadwell, great track and clio was pretty good. It was extremely hot though, so a only 5/6 laps at a time.

Don't have anymore plans at present. Just a trickle charge and clean at best...

SO after 4 months of nothing and really not much to do, i've decided to start work on the car again. Started off with the purchase of a new ARB from whiteline UK.

Once this is on, i'll take a look at what else i can get done. Eyeing up some Brembo's as well...

Whiteline UK

Sale end today... I got 15% plus an extra £20 off for signing up..

Managed to find some time today to fit the ARB. Nice bit of kit and well made. It's very easy to fit and take not longer than 30 minutes.

Just need to check and give a little clean and it's good to test. Might tax it for April :)

Just read from start to finish, really like the approach you've taken. Car looks great 👍

Lovely work, now get some solid protection on that Whiteline bar and fittings. Those things corrode for fun.
Yes, this is needed. What do you recommend? It's garage all year round and only does a couple of thousand a year, but i really don't want it going all rusty.

If the car doesn’t get massive use, Bilt Hamber Dynax UC should do well. It’s clear in finish and can be applied to all areas. Just obviously mask your braking surfaces. But it will keep the bar and associated pars covered in a clear calcium wax.

Hey all, anyone got any idea on value? Contemplating a Megane….
Love the car, but tempted with a change after over 6 years of ownership.
Car is on 61k. All original paint.
Any ideas as is..?
