Bitcoins (and other crypto currencies)

What's that BBC? Cryptocurrencies are volatile you say? Well done. Can't imagine why :ROFLMAO:

Honestly, if Rory Cellan-Jones rolls out his story about buying a pizza with half a bitcoin "back in the day" one more time.....

Coinbase was reporting earlier today that the crash was bottoming out, various funds saying BTC was oversold and they were buying, etc.

when i see people saying i've made a load of money, have they actually cashed out or is the value of your bitcoins just high?

my real question is, is it easy to cash out when the goings good or do you get stuck in - im thinking a bit like betting apps when they give you free money but you have to bet 30 times before you are allowed to withdraw anything

(I dont know how any of this works, just curious(

Looks like another slide this weekend...
Kinda, was up 5% yesterday and down 7% today so not massive. BTC at least.

I cash out when it’s high and accumulate when it’s low, I’ve made getting on for £300 now but that was starting on a high.

When things are crashing it can be a bit hard to get your money out but that’s only if you’re slow on the uptake and it’s not like you can’t withdraw at all, just that fees are higher or it might take a bit longer.

I've got a few grand in my Coinbase account split about half and half between GBP (from when I last sold) and BTC, as well as a small bit in other coins:

I deliberately left the GBP in my wallet as my future investment funds, but at the time I sold BTC was about £12k and I'd planned on buying back in at £6k again.

Feels like that ship has sailed, so what's the current thinking? I'd rather stick to Coinbase as I just want it fairly hassle free, so is now the time to buy BTC / ETH again or are we expecting more losses before it goes back up (if indeed it does)?

I think things are going to be fairly stable until the next architecture of graphic cards come out and everybody can mine that much more profitably, so a few years I guess.

I doubt it's about to crash like last week but it could do as it's so bloody volatile. I'm not worried as it bounced back to a degree just as fast.

I’m still waiting for coinbase to validate my account, it’s been eight days now. Not impressed with their support, it’s like a bot is answering.

I got an email saying I had access to buy, sell and withdraw etc, but when I log on it says my account is being reviewed. Asked them if it was normal to get the confirmation email before the review was completed or if something had gone wrong and literally all I get back is “we‘re sorry for the delay in validating your account”. I swear it’s an automatic response because after asking three times it‘s just variations on that response and no answer to the actual question.

Unimpressed!

You boys keeping tabs on your CGT requirements? Could easily see something like a crypto currency due to their volatility a big bill potentially.

Its only an issues if you convert it to FIAT.

When my ship arrives I wont be withdrawing it ( other than 12k ) but will be taking loans against it on something like celcius

Yeah I reckon it’s gonna settle around £10-15k but it’s bounced up and down in the 20-30k mark for a few weeks now so could just as easily stabilise again.

National currency of El Salvador ftw

Anyone heard much about or looked into Helium?

Friend at work has been doing some stuff with them and is offering up their access points with no charge (normally they are a few hundred I think)

Access points mine Helium and you get a percentage of it for your troubles.

All sounded a bit pyramid scheme like to me ;). Plus not sure how much use it’d be here with the unlikely chance of anyone else having the access points down here.

What does that mean?
It means that there is additonal tax on buying & selling that is then redistributed to holders - in this case USDT ( built into the tokenomics )

Im up to about $360 now -
There was 43000 members in the telegram when it launched

I think it means that every time someone trades that cryptocurrency then anyone holding it gets a cut of the fees. The more active the market is, the more fees. I think 😂

I‘m still just mining and selling up every month. Nice little bit of income.

Yes its based on volume...

Ideally you get in on presale....

If you had invested 3BNB on presale then already $400 USDT in 5 hours...
