Horizon definitely is the more arcade type game but this feels really good, Physics don't feel as arcadey as previous games

It's the first Horizon game that I'm really impressed with as well, Can see why it's getting high review scores

Looking forward to getting my hands on it tomorrow, as much as I like sims/part sims I do love a chilled out good looking and sounding racing game tbh.

Been playing for about an hour or so on my XSX, gone with performance mode and it's superb. FH4 always dropped frames at high frame rates but this is silky smooth.

I was so happy driving the recovery truck back with the barn find on, that's a nice touch.

It doesn't seem to happen with subsequent finds unfortunately. But at the start when you have to choose something to do I chose to go get the Beetle barn find and then recovered it back.

Wish I was a student still, then I could sit and play it all day today eating pizza and drinking beer.

Had a go last night as it's available for none premium version now and thought it looked pretty incredible on Series X and the new TV. Physics definitely took a moment to get used to but I'm using sim steering for now I think I just used normal in Horizon 4.

Bit annoying that there's no reference on the video brightness slider though to get the brightness/saturation as accurate as possible so I've just left it how it was for now and it does seem alright as it is anyway.

Even the original XBox One can pump out a solid 30fps with no frame drops, which is impressive considering how old the hardware is.

Have you tried quality mode yet to compare graphics?

Ooh that does sound like a nice touch.

Quality mode looks nice, but after experiencing the framerate of performance I find quality hurts me eyes 😂

I'm locked to 30fps on my One X, but at least I still get 4K visuals, it's like a lesser quality version of quality mode on the Series X apparently.

Expected the Series X to be 120fps in performance mode and 60fps in quality mode, so this must be very resource heavy if it's 60fps & 30fps respectively!

I did say free on game pass.
It was the only way I could get my hands on a X series on the monthly with a game pass.
*for just £8.78 per month actually, which I think is a fantastic deal considering the amount of games that are available on it.

The amount of games I've played and downloaded with games pass far outweighs the cost of the monthly pass

Gamepass is brilliant TBH, well worth the monthly cost and I blagged 3 years for £1 by loading up XBox Live Gold codes from CD Keys, so really was a bargain.

Not sure how it's running at 118fps when the game is capped at 60fps?

Agreed, massive library at your fingertips and some good titles too, not just a load of crap, definitely worth it and if you don't want the PC or cloud gaming elements, the console only plan is just £7.99 a month, bargain!

You are probably referring the Hz rather than FPS. it just displays whatever the xbox is set to.

The Intensa Emozione with manual gear changes turned on is very satisfying. Music and announcer off, volume up. Beautiful!

Is there a way to have less AI cars? All I'm doing is crashing into them all the time 😆

Hmm, I'm actually having trouble running this on my PC. The issues seem to be related to streaming data from the drive it's installed on - which is annoying as it's an NVME M.2 drive with read/write performance that is more than a match for the XSX hardware. On XSX the loading times are minimal and the experience is pretty seamless; on PC I'm having pauses of 20-30 seconds on transitions and cuts! It's certainly not a PC spec issue!

In the meantime I'm playing on the Xbox Series X - which looks, sounds and plays beautifully. First-world problems!
