As above. Anyone on here got one on their car? I’d like to ask you some questions.

Not a helpful reply, but I converted an old Escort to hydraulic clutch once and it was pretty straight forward. You can buy the Wiwood master and slave cylinders and there are quite a few online calculators to help you size the pistons. Gearbox side looks especially straight forward, not sure how you would get on with the clutch pedal. I'd convert to a pedal box because race car but on the Escort I mounted the master to the bulkhead and ran a pushrod through.

Made clutch 1000x nicer, smoother, lighter, no cable to stretch. Better in every conceivable way other than complexity tbh.

Yeah it’s the clutch pedal side of things I’m concerned about. The gearbox end looks like a piece of piss to sort

What do you need to know mate? I ran my clio with a hydraulic clutch which was from a clio dci100
Oooooh!

On the PMS website, it says I need a pedal box or a clutch pedal from a clio 2 that has/had a hydraulic clutch.
I was just wondering what the deal was at the pedal end of things. I have a Mk1 clio and I’m not sure if I can get away with fitting a Mk2 hydraulic mech or if I’ll need to go full custom with a pedal box. I really can’t afford the latter but my clutch cable has pulled itself through the fork and the fork mount has actually split,

I could just get it welded up - and I may do just to make sure I make it to CSF - but it’s a bodge and I don’t want that.

Am I right in thinking the clio 2 pedal box fits the clio 1? If so then you're laughing mate, @Coops Mk1 you run clio 2 pedal box in your clip 1 don't you?

If they do fit then yeah it's a straight swap. You'll just need to get a hose made up that suits the hydraulic pedal box to the Pure Motorsport kit which will be also nice and easy

Theres a few pics of it on there which may help for reference

That's bloody annoying if it doesn't though

I’ve just been informed that a friend of a friend ordered the PMS hydraulic conversion 3 months ago and he still hasn’t received it.
I’ve read a few things saying PMS can’t deliver the goods lately.

Looks like I’ll be getting it welded up. Ffs. 🫣

I ran the wilwood slave cylinder on my MK2 Fiesta with a Focus RS engine back in 2012.

As long as your slave cylinder is appropriately sized, your cylinder is pulling whilst perfectly aligned and nothing can move once it's setup. Then yes it is pretty reliable.

Ah just seen this, @dann2707 no mines still on stock cable, I bought the kit then got no further as decided was faffing, adding complexity I didn't need and another system to leak fluid if it went wrong.

@The Crumb Master my box does have a welded loop though and then a custom brace as well, been fine years, I can try get a pic this week when I am back at the car

I’d love you forever if you could post a picture of it so I can see the shape??

I dont have it at home but its the same mounting as the mk2 like this. Im going to my unit tomorrow so can get pictures then. I also have new 280mm brembo caliper brackets for sale if you want them too? 😁

That’s one thing my car doesn’t need is more brakes. 😂😂

Thanks for the pic, that’s perfect. I’ll get the car out tomorrow and do some guesstimates.
