guys i need your help sorting a misfire,
Its a 2004 1.2 16v
I plugged it in and it was saying misfire, cylinder 4
No problem, so number 4 being (closest to engine mount) i pulled the HT lead off and no change,
I then plugged it in again and it now says cylinder 1 (nearest gearbox) but if i...
I use DMB graphics for mine, theyre around £15, but ive been buying a new rear plate with them and they are £23.95 for both delivered.
Quality is great,
They dont advertise them on the website,
I usually email them telling them my requirements and then they email back telling how to order
i used silver High temp paint from halfords on the focus, mask as much of the disc as you can/be bothered to,
when dry go up the road and touch the brakes and all the excess will come off leaving a nice edge lol
interested in this,
mines dreadful when cold, but upto temp it drives with no issues, also now and again on a cold start, i get an erratic idle for the first few seconds.
its had new plugs, and i havent cleaned the throttle body for a few thousand miles so thats my next job
@liamr88 just replaced the full pack mate for the sake of £17
its not original but it works fine
A mate's resistor pack, packed in two weeks ago, his was stuck on full blast instead off not blowing
And i only replaced the part for him today, so hes had the heaters full blast for two weeks so would be the same i guess? Lol
Sounds a strange one, maybe worth getting a video of the noise and uploading,
In regards to the starter, i thought mine was on my way out on my 1.2 16v, id turn the key and nothing happened (yours doesnt sound like this but worth a look)
The little white exciter wire to the starter motor, the...
I doubt you would have done any ecu damage,
It maybe different to a 182, but i plugged in my non sport before with a cheap code reader and the lead had a poor connection with the reader and caused a little spark, and it then wouldnt start (it wouldnt even turn over so is probably different to...
@aiyaz id be starting with checking the earths, especially the thick one that goes from the the gearbox to the chassis, its in the passenger side wheel arch.
Also maybe worth seeing what the battery condition is like, clios do some strange stuff when the battery is on its way out
No worries, heres one on ebay with the sensors so one less job for £45
Im guessing the ktec one would be a cat-back system, so it would bolt to your standard cat so it wouldnt replace it :(
Ahh good, i used to get concerned at mayo in the cap, but i do 350 mile a week in mine on a run so havent seen it in a while
The flexi is part of the cat (borrowed the pic below off google)
Its one olive joint clamp which will no doubt be rusted beyond use, so its best to relace, and two nuts...
Braved the weather, and it was indeed a 15a fuse in passenger side dash, glad it was something easy
Previous owner had left few metal bits in the 12v port so when i turned the car on it sparked a little lol
Weathers atrocious at the moment :( so will try looking later
Apparently its on the same fuse as the 12v and i havent tried that either lol
I found a fair few threads through the google way, so will be doing that more from now on
Little bit of a strange one, had a search but cant find anything similar,
Basically, the cd player doesnt come on with the ignition, and doesnt go off when you turn the car off,
Whilst driving it thinks the car is off and beeps and shuts off to save power
If it was aftermarket id be looking...
You can have a look from under the bonnet at the flexi, look over the back of the engine between the coolant bottle and engine and you'll spot it, just have a feel round there see if you can feel it blowing, watch your hand as itll be hot lol
It may not be the thermostat, but my car had a small...
