Had two repair shops willing to look at the the picture and give me an estimate. One is chain business with several location and where insurers always send you there. They said "From the limited image received, a rough price I would quote approximately £400 + vat + cost of any badges on the...
Like I said I'm not looking for any definite figure. Right now I don't know of it will cost £200 or £900! Just as idea. For all I know it could be obvious a new tailgate would be needed because of the size of it
He is away on company business for a fortnight so can't get it to garage, other...
Hey all, I know there are a few guys on here That work in car body repairs and others with experience so I'm hoping somebody with an idea might be able to help.
Below is some damage done to my brothers fiesta after a reversing accident. I'm wondering if anyone could give me an idea on roughly...
I will be getting the 4xHankook Tyres I ordered fitted on Friday and It might be a good idea to get tracking done if I can afford it (which is another question in itself as just bough ashes load of furniture for the house and the Tyres)
I need to route into my garage and have a look at the...
Yeah thats what I'm thinking. But i still like to know what to expect from them and surely someone has an idea. House insurance is due and I need to spend about £800 in tradesmans this month so I need to know how well spent that £50 will be purely in wear terms
Thx. Yeah ive ben shopping around for the best prices on a few tyres/sizes, sometimes it camskill, tyretraders, blackcircles or mytyre which are cheapest.
i know the hankooks are good and better than the toys in the wet and for wear - I already been through that argument. But how much better...
I need 4 new boots, and money is tight so I'm looking for the best value not so much the best performance.
I'm deciding between:-
4 x 195/45 R16 Toyo proxes T1-R for £193 delivered
4 x 205/45 R16 Hankook V12 Evo K110 for £244
I can't find anywhere that has stock of the 195 Hankooks...
Ha, no I got my house last year, doing the mortgage on my own, and then to help towards redecorating costs I "downgraded" from a Civic Type R to the Clio 172 (more toys, 30k lesson the clock and 1.5K in my pocket)
I'm still decorating money is tight so I have to make my money count, so it value...
Taking performance out of the question you can get 5xToyo T1-R's for the price of 3x PE2's
If anyone knows how many miles you get out of the Hankook I'll probably be sorted in deciding what I'll go for
i know my Toyos on my old Civic Typre R would last 10-11 months on the fronts and that with about 10-11K worth of driving. I've heard mixed reports of people with the PE2's but it sounds like people get in excess of 15k out of the fronts at least without swapping.
Fancy the hankook from what...
i've used Toyo's for years and any of these are fine for me performance wise. But I'm skint with having a house now so my concern is getting value for money in terms of how much life I get out of them. Even if that means paying more now.
forgot to say prices are for the tyres and delivery - not fitting.
Is it really worth paying 330 for 4xMicheling PE2 compared to £193 for 4xToyo T1-R. Better grip in the wet aside, do PE2's rally last 41% longer than T1-R's otherwise T1-R are perhaps better value at the moment.
Thanks Rollo. Ive done some shopping around for prices to compare my shortlist of Michilin PE2's, Toyo T1-R's and Hankook Evo V12 for 195 and 205 / 45 R16's
Prices in punds for four- Blackcircles prices are after cashback from using quidco.
Any thougths anyone
So using 205/45 R16 is ok instead of 195/45 R16 with my Oz ultraleggeras. is handling not affected?
How do the hankooks compare with the V12 Evo's for how many miles you get out of them.
Agree that the Toyos don't seem to last that long - at least I feel I've had tyres that last longer
and that is ok to do on 16" Ultraleggeras. Would that not be detremental to handling etc
Would I get similar miles out of them as I would with PE2's. I admit they are a good prices but that doesnt mean value if they dont last long
Hi guys, I am looking to find prices for hankook V12 Evo's on 195/45 R16 V.
I've tried mytyre, camskill and black circles but they don't seem to come up.
Do hankook not supply in this size or am I do something wrong. I know there is a lot of recomendations for them.
thats great but I really would like some idea on what life you get out of T1-R's and PE2.
I know PE2' are probably better overall but I dont have the money these days for the best, something that i get the best value for money for in terms of how long they will last for the cost. I dont see...
ah thanks. Think I heard about the ebay lot on another forum. tempting but camskill have the next day delivery.hmmm.
any thoughts from anyone on how many miles you get out of T1-R's and PE2's for comparrison would really help me.
