MOT advice - arb bushes and front hoses

Good luck with the ARB bushes. But I believe they are split yes, I replaced them the way you are planning to do.

    Clio with Rotrex super charger

That's insane, but you don't want to do a wet trackday in february in one of those.

    Project Lightweight, Trackday Clio 172

I haven't got a clue. Only thing I know about Ackermann is that the inner wheel turns more than the outer, so anti-Ackermann is that the outer turns more than the inner? How do you see this, and why would this occur?

    Project Lightweight, Trackday Clio 172

Work in progress. I modified the BC Racing struts with the Pure Motorsport camber adjustable strut mounting plates to be able to fit the Laguna hubs. Pretty happy with the welds. I've also welded up the ABS holes in the Laguna hub, so that I can modify the Laguna hub to fit the...

    E36 3.0 ITB Race Build

Isn't 100% locking exactly the same as a welded diff?

    Project Lightweight, Trackday Clio 172

I had a really really good day at Assen yesterday. The weather was good all day, a few drops in between sessions, but that was about it. The TT Circuit had laid down a new layer of tarmac, and they did a really good job, hopefully Zandvoort will do this as good as Assen did. I did 4 sessions, I...

    Clio with Rotrex super charger

Nice to hear. I follow your build thread and YouTube channel with great interest, and I envy your video/editing skills. What's your opinion with relation to this thread? Since your going beyond what is discussed here, and going for even more power.

    Clio with Rotrex super charger

He has, but lately it looks more like his YouTube channel than a real project thread.

One set of Cup wishbones with PMS strenghtening plates and Powerflex black bushes ready to be mounted.

    Setting up yanoo stiff shift

I love it, did it with the Scenic shifter combined. Before, my gear lever was very sloppy, I sometimes struggled to get it into gear, mostly 4th. Now, it feels super tight. Apparantly, the PMS shifter is even better, but I can't imagine how this could be improved to be honest.

EFI can delete your immobiliser. But why do you want to go back to standard?

    Setting up yanoo stiff shift

I haven't done any sanding. The 4 bolts were very loose at first, but after some use, I've tightened them up a bit.

    Project Lightweight, Trackday Clio 172

We'll see. I have a trackday next Saturday, and the 1st of April there is another one at the same track (Assen). Ideally, I'd like to do the mod inbetween these trackdays to test the difference on the same track.

    Clio with Rotrex super charger

I understand, but when @green manages to get 215 bhp and you have build a high spec 197/182 hybrid with 230 bhp, it seems that a bit of optimisation on the standard head might be more reasonable? What's your thought?

    Project Lightweight, Trackday Clio 172

I can answer your first question, but regarding posting bigger pictures, I haven't got a clue how. :ROFLMAO: I consider this a pretty big upgrade, very interested to see what all the fuzz is about. Regarding alignment, I'll see how much caster can be achieved within the wheelarches. I'm...

    Clio with Rotrex super charger

How would a 197 head conversion compare to a flowed/ported (ph1 (I believe the ph1 has bigger ports?)) head?
  18. scullyg40

    Clio with Rotrex super charger

@green What do you reckon what the output would be with your setup and a 197 head?

    Stripped Clio weight..

Well, weight wise, I took everything out that I didn't need, put a 70 kg cage back in, polycarbonate windows, lightweight battery, PAS delete, no dash, OZ Ultraleggera, doors, bonnet and boot are still metal, and lots of other things. Check my thread, it's all in there. ;)

    Stripped Clio weight..

    960 kg with me and 20 litres of fuel, and I'm 110 kg's. ;)

    Project Lightweight, Trackday Clio 172

I ordered 2 packages, and the first one, my Powerflex black wishbone bushes, arrived. I can't wait to get the second package, as it contains some really cool stuff :p Not gonna say what, but it has to do with the first package. :giggle: I also did a small upgrade to the GTI. Normally...

    Project Lightweight, Trackday Clio 172

Because my car jumped out of gear 2 times at the last trackday, I thought it was about time to beef up my engine mounts. I have to add, it happened just 2 times, in the same braking zone, which was bumpy, and it was wet, so my ABS got activated as well. Since I'm to cheap to spend a fortune on...

    Always use Type D Coolant...!

    I haven't got a clue. 😁 I paid 30 something Euro's for 7 litres, but the warehouse guy gave me 8 litres.

    Always use Type D Coolant...!

It's blue. 😉 And I've drained the system, and changed the radiator for a new one. There might be some old fluid left behind in the system, but it can't be much. I have to change the cambelt in a year or so, I will check the waterpump at that time. 😉

    Always use Type D Coolant...!

Just bought coolant from the Renault dealer, and I got something else. They had it in bulk, and it was mixable with type D.

    Project Lightweight, Trackday Clio 172

I had to look it up, but here it is. 1 plate 1230x560 mm 2 plates 800x470 mm 2 plates 1000x500 mm The windows on the side turned out okay, but the rear window doesn't look to pretty if you are bothered about that. There's to many curves in the bootlid. For now, my plans are to go for the PMS...

    Project Lightweight, Trackday Clio 172

As I had a puddle of water beneath the radiator, it seemed a good idea to change the radiator. As I had a Spal fan laying in my garage it seems a good idea to mount that at the same time. Because a radiator has a pretty hard time on a track car, I bought the cheapest I could find. Immediately...

    Lightweight track car

I have a project thread if you're interested. ;) I haven't gone really brutal to my opinion, just made the decision to have a dedicated track car, so I have no lights, no dash, but still metal doors, boot and hood.

    Lightweight track car

No sound insulation, different interior, no ABS etc. I'm pretty sure the base of the car is the same. For instance, my stripped out track car weighs 830 kg's. That includes a 70 kg cage. I'm also pretty sure Lamborghini is laughing really hard at those buying the lightweight versions. :ROFLMAO:
