It depends which one really and what application. For an NA car like the Clio I'd always go for a custom map. I have a Burger Motorsports JBD on my 335d, I went for that over a map as it's a proven, reliable way of mildly bumping power on them. They had a great rep but you do pay for it. Mine...

I've been playing this since it was on Xbox Game Pass recently and I'm really enjoying it tbh. It looks a little dated but I'm used to 4K titles so that's excusable for an older game I guess. It can get a little repetitive on some of the maps but overall it's great for free!
